Getting students the classes they need, when they need them, in order to graduate is a difficult task. We aim to make it easy. At Ad Astra, we build products and offer services that help colleges and universities graduate more students in a financially sustainable way. To help in that mission, we're looking for a creative, driven, customer-focused Product Manager to bolster our portfolio of products.
What you'll do
- Foster and build relationships with partners and integration vendors to collectively build solutions for our shared customer base
- Engage in product, design, marketing, and user research activities to create the best experience for our customers
- Work directly with our engineering teams to regularly ship new experiences to help our customers achieve their goals
- Creatively iterate on ideas to improve products or establish new offerings in the market
- Define, measure, and monitor Ad Astra products quantitatively and qualitatively and integrate findings into future outcomes
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to create and prioritize the backlog of product outcomes to meet customer needs - continually refining product backlog as the needs of the market evolve
- Clearly communicate product plans, benefits, and results to a wide range of audiences ranging from Ad Astra team members to customers
Who you are
- You have experience in a software-focused role such as product marketing, product design, development, or user research
- You put the customers and end users at the center of your universe with a desire to build products they will love
- You're familiar with iterative development principles and practices, including breaking large product goals into small, achievable slices for early and frequent delivery
- You're comfortable driving projects from start to finish, with a predictable cadence and involving multiple stakeholders from diverse disciplines
- You enjoy an ego-free environment that celebrates the best ideas and empowers everyone to tackle them
- You believe data is the most powerful tool for informed decision-making, and have experience running experiments to interpret both quantitative and qualitative results
- You possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of a diverse team of stakeholders
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a technical or design-related field (or equivalent experience)
- A track record of delivering products that have shown proven impact
- Ability to distill complex concepts into easy-to-understand ideas
- Comfortable with decision-making in an absence of clarity
- Familiarity with the dynamic nature of continuously deployed SaaS products
- Passionate about delighting users
- Limited travel as necessary

This position is located in Overland Park, Kansas. Ad Astra does not pay for relocation expenses.
