About the role:
As a Product Manager at Carbyne, you will be responsible for the entire life cycle of the product and will work with engineering, design, sales, customers, and other internal stakeholders to execute on Carbyne's vision. You will identify opportunities, create and execute on the product roadmap, as well as define, scope, and work with developers to make your ideas come to life. Our perfect candidate brings a blend of business vision, technical knowledge, and focus on execution. This role can be located in NY or on the East coast.
What you'll be working on:
  • Lead Carbyne's efforts to develop innovative product solutions that meet the needs of the market
  • Synthesize feedback from customers, competitors, partners, and market trends to create business problem statements for new and existing products and services
  • Collaborate with other product managers, marketing, and pre/post sales teams to achieve product success
  • Handle customer and market discovery, requirements gathering (MRDs and PRDs), and regulations
  • Create user stories, refine requirements, and work with engineering teams to create software
  • Work with cross-functional teams to launch the software that was created
  • Own the product roadmap, use case prioritization, and feature definition

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in SaaS product management as a PM or PO.
  • Working experience in PSAPs or in the public safety sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Action-oriented with an ability to leverage collaboration skills and initiative to get things done.
  • Experience in Agile development methodology.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders, both internal & external.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence outside of the authority.

Bonus points for:
  • Expertise in voice platforms, specifically VoIP and SIP for and cloud-native services.
  • Experience with UCaaS, CCaaS and/or CPaaS.
  • Background in the 911 industry - i3, ESINet, Call taking, CAD, ANIALI, CAMA trunk, NG9-1-1 architectures, and product/solution ecosystem within the public safety sector.
  • An understanding of i3 standards and interface specifications including MSRP, PIDF-LO, SIPREC, and NGCS parameters.
