Since 1987, the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) has set the standard in certification, continuing education, solutions and tools for health and fitness, sports performance and sports medicine professionals. NASM has pioneered evidence-based health and fitness solutions that optimize physical performance and allow individuals to achieve a variety of fitness activity goals.

We are currently looking to add a Product Manager to our team in Gilbert, AZ. The Product Manager will own the vision and product strategy for a suite of current products and new, innovative products in the fitness education and training market. The position is responsible for the creation and execution of product solutions from idea to market to ongoing adoption, usage and profitability. The Product Manager is responsible for the achievement of growth objectives including revenue, profitability, market share, customer satisfaction and ROI.

This is a hybrid role reporting to the Gilbert, AZ office.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the "voice of the customer" to marketing, product development, vendors, and customer service, from ideation through launch.
  • Reach out to end users and potential customers on a regular schedule. Develop and maintain understanding of customer pain points, workflows and processes.
  • Manage product line and assist with product P&L.
  • Establish, monitor and report on product performance to the organization.
  • Define market requirements and user personas for individual products and assist in analyzing the competitive landscape.
  • Collect, analyze and summarize competitive information. Educate company on relative competitive advantages and weaknesses of competitive products.
  • Work closely with Product Development to execute product vision.
  • Keep company educated of trends, regulations and best practices by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree. Master's preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in the fitness field
  • Expertise performing marketing research
  • Pragmatic certification a plus.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Strong project management skills to achieve financial and cultural goals in timely manner.
  • Ability to create completing business cases
  • Proven ability to consistently look for areas of innovation in all product offerings.
  • Proven ability to design processes, evaluate results, and drive solutions to improve the processes.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.


Other Requirements (Travel, Shifts, Physical Demands, etc.):

  • Ability to travel up to 1 times per month to attend industry events/meetings as necessary
