GENIUS SPORTS MEDIA 

Genius Sports Media creates the next generation in content and marketing services for sports and gaming brands, powered by the fastest, most reliable data on the planet. We make it simple for advertisers to connect with sports fans by embedding content like real-time statistics, betting odds or video highlights into their creative. We also provide digital publishers with the tools and content to grow their audiences, drive advertising revenue and take advantage of sports betting content. 

The Role

Main Responsibilities:
  • Delivering free-to-play games across web and app to high profile clients in the sports and entertainment business
  • Managing product scope & deliverables against key milestones and minimising scope creep
  • Prioritising product quality and stability and planning for and mitigating all risks during product build phase and throughout the lifecycle of product duration
  • Internal and external stakeholder management throughout the product life cycle, coordinating resourcesInternal and external stakeholder management throughout the product life cycle, coordinating multiple resources and leading the project team through the delivery and beyond
Responsibilities:Product Strategy & Ideation
  • Having a deep understanding of Genius Sports’ Free-To-Play product offering and the ability to use this to define robust custom solutions for our prospective and existing clients
  • Working with the Business Development team to suggest and define product requirements and scope, including high level documentation & user stories to help to build pitches & proposals
  • Ability to document solutions in order to gather accurate estimates from all internal resources required to execute the work
  • Pulling together Resource Plans with estimates to cost up products and projects including costs of initial build, rollovers and product maintenance
  • Contributing to Statement of Works and Proposals with product descriptions and user stories, timeframes, assumptions and exclusions in order to set the Delivery team up for success
Product/Project Management
  • Once a deal is won, taking on the product build from the Business Development team and setting it up to be delivered according to the F2P Delivery Methodology
  • Serving as the single point of contact for the client throughout the lifecycle of the product & making them feel as though you are in control of all aspects as well as making them aware of all deliverables on their end by providing regular updates via PSR & maintaining a client facing risk register
  • Scheduling appropriate resources required to deliver the work & continuously managing this as the project goes on with Resource Management and Float
  • Maintaining a strict, client facing timeline using Smartsheets that clearly outlines all deliverables, dependencies, milestones & key dates - making sure this timeline is adhered to by the client and is visible to all stakeholders internally
  • Working with designers on wireframes & look and feel of products and facilitating client feedback and sign off
  • Documenting product requirements and acceptance criteria for developers in Confluence & working closely with tech leads and developers to ensure scope is clearly defined and achievable
  • Ongoing management of the product build in JIRA using Scrum Methodology including backlog grooming, sprint planning in advance, and relevant scrum ceremonies ie: stand up, retrospectives
  • Provide visibility to internal teams and management by regularly checking on estimates, resource bookings, risks & escalations and updating the internal PMO tracker accordingly
  • Continuously managing client expectations, risks and scope creep, escalating to your Account Manager or Senior Management if necessary
  • Working closely with the QA team to develop testing matrixes and approving test plans that cover all basis of your product and working alongside them during testing phase of your product
  • Ensuring products are of a high quality and are in line with requirements, approved designs and client expectations once ready for deployment
  • Making sure that product integrity and stability  is maintained and all potential issues and risks are planned for and mitigated throughout the lifecycle of the product
  • Managing the client through their product review process, consolidating feedback and managing any change requests
  • Working with tech leads and developers to create a solid deployment plan to ensure when it is time to go live that this is done so with confidence in everyone involved
  • Leading the entire team not only through the build of the product but also through the final stages & go live period
  • Once a product is delivered, do required reporting on scope, timeline & budget as well as hold a project Retrospective and share all findings with the wider team
  • Always looking for opportunities to up-sell features or additional products to your clients and advocating for Genius Sports
  • Continuous operational support of products in your wheelhouse including monitoring key events like lifting lockout, validation of data & scores, ad hoc issues & client requests management and always being on the front foot with all aspects of the delivery.
