Spot & Tango is an innovative pet health & wellness brand that delivers personalized meal plans on a subscription basis. Our recipes are developed by leading animal nutritionists, and are made with only real, human-grade ingredients... and nothing artificial! Who You Are
As a member of Spot & Tango’s Product Management team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to help us continue building beautiful, intuitive products and experiences for our users and customers, while also helping to shape Spot & Tango’s broader product strategy. You will be collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, operations, design, UX/UI, engineering, and CX and will work closely with the Director of Engineering. This is an exciting role for an ambitious, detail-oriented Product Management leader who wants to drive immediate impact at a leading pet health & wellness startup.
ResponsibilitiesÂ
Product development processes:
- Translate abstract business needs into an actionable product/tech roadmap
- Collaborate with engineering, UX, and design to build high-quality and beautiful products
- Implement and manage A/B testing processes, both internally and through external agencies
- Facilitate communication and asset transfer between key stakeholders and teams throughout the product development process, including design, UX, engineering, marketing, and ops
- Map out the user journey – create user stories and product requirement documents
- Manage tactical development execution, including sprints, resourcing, and timelines
- Prioritize tickets, based on assessment of business needs and trade-offs
- Collaborate with business leaders to build requirements for new features; create tickets for engineering team
- Test and approve features before release; triage feedback from business users and ensure bugs are surfaced + properly prioritized
- Manage and coordinate releases, including release notes, timing, communication and training of employeesÂ
- Track and prioritize feature requests across ops, marketing, growth, and customer experience
- Track performance and present pertinent data to COO
- Collaborate with UX to conduct research and facilitate user-testing
Product development strategy:
- Bring a perspective on product management best practices, new technologies, software tools, and market trends
- Generate product roadmap and execution plan across our multiple apps and platforms
- Run regular reports on progress against product strategy and present to COO
Requirements
- You have 4+ years of professional experience with at least 2-3 years in a product management role
- Prior experience working with engineering teams preferred
- Engineering / technical background not required, but “nice to have”
- You have the ability to work on multiple products at once, and can determine product prioritization while managing trade-offs by collaborating with internal stakeholders and understanding user feedback
- You are persistent, determined, and organized; you have a true ownership mentality, take pride in your work, and go above and beyond to get things over the line
- You have a keen attention to detail and care deeply about good design and aesthetics
- You have experience using agile methodologies to deliver products and technologies
- You have experience in developing both systems and processes at scale
- You have excellent communication skills and can articulate complex ideas to technical and non-technical team members, partners, and stakeholders
- You can dive into the details with engineers and also synthesize findings at an executive level
- You ask a lot of questions and are constantly looking to improve
- You are a self-starter and know how to figure things out without clear direction

This is a hybrid position.
You must be able to commute into our office in Midtown Manhattan Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
