Position Overview

As a Product Manager within Autodesk Construction Solutions at Autodesk, you are responsible for building tools that are transforming the construction industry. Product Managers on our team sit at the intersection of software development, design, and business strategy. We shape high-level product goals but also get our hands dirty. On an average day, you might present a product concept to customers, work with designers to conduct user research, prototype a new feature, iterate on a spec, analyze usage data, assist group leads to pitch a concept to senior leadership, collaborate with internal teams on new initiatives and pair with an engineer on implementation. We have the ultimate responsibility for understanding our client needs, influencing business strategy, feature specification, and working with engineering to develop our software.

To ensure that the growing product family and ecosystem delivers best-in class, analytics and insights, Autodesk is seeking a passionate and experienced product manager to join our Data Delivery group. As the Product Manager in the Data Delivery group, you will be responsible for the customer-facing insight platform that enables analytics capabilities across the Autodesk Construction Cloud ecosystem. This role requires you to develop and maintain roadmap, and detailed execution plans that prioritize requirements across a complex set of stakeholders including small to large customers, and internal product teams.

Responsibilities
  • Own and execute a product area that solves business problems and delivers delightful experiences to our customers
  • Understand Autodesk's strategic position and deliver innovative products that align with this strategy
  • Work directly with customers to unearth pain points and understand their most pressing needs
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop overall product strategy and define the vision, goals, and prioritized roadmap for the product
  • Interpret customer requirements, and write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and Jira tickets to ensure that your team can execute effectively
  • Work closely with the cross-functional team leads including design and engineering to manage execution and delivery
  • Manage the product backlog, do weekly scrum planning with team, and validate that all new features meet functional, performance, and experience requirements
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including product teams from various parts of the organization, marketing, support, customer success etc. to drive the research, launch, and adoption of product features
  • Work with support to resolve any escalated customer support issues that require engineering intervention

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent and demonstrated practical experience
  • 2+ years of product management experience, prior engineering experience is preferred
  • Experience analyzing customer needs and workflows and identifying gaps and solutions
  • Experience delivering commercial SaaS products
  • Passionate about building and delivering resilient platforms/services
  • Experience with agile software development and scrum processes
  • Experience working with a cross-functional team including UX and engineering
  • Customer-driven, open minded with a propensity to rapidly explore multiple options with engineering and design before driving alignment on an execution plan
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - interface with our customers as well as internal stakeholders, fellow product managers, product designers, technical writers, engineers, sales, customer success, product marketing, etc.
  • Highly collaborative team player who is motivated by working on hard problems with smart people

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in computer science, information systems, MBA, engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in one or more areas: cloud infrastructure, big data platforms, BI and visualization tools
