About your role

As a product manager at Voxel51, you’ll craft the product roadmap for an interdisciplinary team of full-stack, software, DevOps, and ML engineers that brings a complete data-centric product to market. You’ll spend a significant portion of your time interacting with open source users and prospective/existing enterprise customers, where you’ll distill their needs into a coherent product strategy. Along with a tech lead, you’ll translate this strategy into a technical backlog, which you’ll implement through agile methods that you actively design, measure, and refine. Your superpower is the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all technical levels and distill chaos into a clear vision that your team understands and believes. You’ll also have the opportunity to be a public face of a thriving open source community.

What you will do

• Craft and own the product roadmap for an interdisciplinary team of engineers
• Interact with open source users and prospective/existing enterprise customers, and distill their needs into a coherent product strategy
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all technical levels
• Work with a tech lead to translate product strategy into a technical backlog
• Implement, measure, and refine an agile project management process for your team
• Turn chaos into a clear vision that your team understands and believes
• Be a team player: communicate, document, suggest, and get things done!

What you should bring

• 5+ years of collective experience involved in the design, implementation, or management of a machine learning product
• 8+ years of product management experience
• BS or MS in computer science or a related field
• Expertise communicating with internal and external software engineers, research scientists, and their managers
• Demonstrable passion for developing products for technical users
• Experience maintaining or contributing to open source projects (or the passion to start!)
• Ability to work in a remote-first, cooperative environment using collaborative development tools (GitHub, Slack)

The cash compensation for this person is in the $190K-$225K range. In addition to base comp for this role, we offer equity in the form of options, a variety of benefits, and the opportunity to grow in an exciting and collaborative environment.
