Responsibilities

At Hamilton Lab Solutions Business Unit (BU), we are on a journey to enable our customers to be more efficient with our solutions offering while being supported by the best-in-class post-sales support organization. The Lab Solutions Product Manager is a key member of the Lab Solutions BU commercial team and owns and execute to Lab Solutions Product strategy. The individual will be responsible for product portfolio management, value creation and product portfolio revenue growth, all the while working in an environment where you will be supported, valued, and rewarded for your performance! Product Management responsibilities:

  • Product portfolio life cycle, pricing, revenue, and profitability management to drive growth.
  • Product roadmap and NPI management incorporating VOC and VOS to drive innovation to launch new products on time and on budget.
  • Gather, synthesize, and write clear and concise product requirements that will drive innovation and product line growth.
  • Launch products and updates by working across departments at Hamilton to provide vision, actionable timelines, and plans for communications, budget, and distribution.
  • Develop pricing and manufacturing forecast based on market knowledge, production costs, and anticipated demand.
  • Understanding life science bench scientists' pain points, identify appropriate target customers, and build NPI business cases that support business unit strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with various functional teams such as R&D, Product Marketing, MarCom, Sales, Customer Service, and Service and Support, and Product Managers from other BUs.
  • Collaborate with sales teams on understanding sales closure needs and provide impactful collaterals to achieve revenue goal of faster closure.
  • Continue professional and technical education, attending workshops, seminars, etc.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of product portfolio management, value creation and drive product portfolio revenue and profitability growth.
  • Demonstrated product roadmap and new product introduction (NPI) management experience, incorporating voice of customers (VOC) and voice of sales (VOS) to drive innovation and on time product launches.
  • Demonstrated product revenue, pricing, and life cycle management that drives product adoption growth.
  • Possess deep understanding of life science bench scientists' pain points, identify appropriate target customers, and build NPI business cases that supports business unit strategic goals.
  • Demonstrated understanding of sales organizational needs and provided impactful collaterals to achieve the goal of faster sales closure.
  • Demonstrated people management skills with coaching and developing team members.
  • Demonstrated collaborative mentality across different functions such as R&D, Product Marketing, MarCom, Sales, Customers Service, and Service and Support while having fun!
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally, as required.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering disciplines from an accredited university or institution.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in a science laboratory setting using laboratory instrumentation and other wet chemistry laboratory equipment.
  • 5 of consistent track record in product management or customer-facing functions.
  • 3 years of Product Management experience preferred.
