Job Overview:

Safe-Guard International is hiring a Product Manager to work with the Operations Team.

The Product Manager is responsible for being the subject matter expert in the Progressive Web Application for claims and the cancellation portal for clients, with additional product management related duties to follow.

The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen and strategic capabilities to create a business-driven roadmap and oversee prioritization of product development and client onboarding. Additionally, the Product Manager will lead efforts to define, drive, build, and launch new business capabilities within the platforms that transform and improve the client experience. This role will be working with the functional leadership teams for claims and for cancellations, peers, and other key stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with overall Architecture leadership to identify where the respective products sit within the overall functional landscape of the firm, including upstream and downstream dependencies.
  • Own and manage product feature development, from initial requirement management to post go-live analysis, to achieve the best product efficiency and experience.
  • Collaborate with team members and across the organization to drive execution.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other product line product managers to avoid duplication and manage dependencies.
  • Define and communicate minimum viable product (MVP) for a given application/product and the supporting release plans.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders (e.g., Solution Architects) to define new and or enhanced product requirements and functionality.
  • Partner with project teams, clients, IT development, Information Systems, UX, operations, and other groups to drive development of products from inception to implementation.
  • Understand how each internal team functions, collect user requirements and proactively discover areas where products can help.
  • Own and manage ongoing product oversight and maintenance and be accountable for meeting product objectives.
  • Actively participate in sprints and be available to team members for questions and to provide clarity on requirements and vision.
  • Review and prioritize defects and optimization opportunities against enhancement backlog.
  • Ensure QA and testing (Unit, System, System Integration) cycles are completed on all development work by providing test cases and collaborating with key teams. Administer UAT processes and approve final new product delivery.

Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of product development and/or product management processes and lifecycle
  • Ability to adjust and apply product development knowledge in a dynamic environment in technology areas such as Collaboration, Software as a Service (SaaS), Hardware and Software support services.
  • Strong technical aptitude with experience coordinating between development and business teams.
  • Strategic approach to problem resolution with the ability to develop and communicate sound options to build a solid product roadmap.
  • Ability to synthesize different data to identify and articulate opportunities.
  • Ability to anticipate upstream and downstream impacts of the project and work with business groups to adjust business tools and practices to support new features and functionality.
  • Resilient, collaborative, flexible, innovative, positive attitude.
  • Flexible with regards to changing priorities & business needs.
  • Ability to understand importance of positioning of a product within the overall enterprise landscape and how this must be taken into account during product lifecycle management.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of product management experience
  • Solid product management expertise, adept at capturing and defining business requirements.
  • Familiarity with design thinking principles and lean and agile software delivery
  • Demonstrable experience engaging executives and other stakeholders to support essential business decisions.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the product management discipline by assisting a more-senior product manager or interning in a product management organization.
  • More than three years working in or with lean and agile software delivery teams (preferred)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check
