Kyros is a venture-backed Minneapolis-based start-up that is revolutionizing the way that recovery services are delivered and managed. Our technology-enabled workforce solution provides instant access to a curated network of peer recovery specialists and recovery resources for individuals suffering from substance use disorder while simultaneously streamlining and automating critical administrative functions to enable service expansion and increased accessibility.
Position Summary: The Product Manager serves a critical role, helping to bring our vision of making recovery from substance use disorder possible for everyone. This role will interface at all levels and departments of the company, as well as external constituents, to understand the market and specific needs of the individuals we serve. They’ll use the context gleaned through these activities to define a product roadmap, create features/epics in service to that roadmap, and prioritize the team backlog to streamline the execution priorities, all in support of Kyros’ overall strategy and business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
- Immerse yourself in the market by interfacing with internal and external audiences to understand the competitive landscape in which we operate, and the user personas we serve.
- Partner with customer-facing teams, product researchers, designers, data analysts, and engineers to imagine and bring to life the digital experiences that will be most meaningful to our constituents.
- Continually groom the product backlog to ensure the development team(s) are working on the highest priority items that will deliver the most value to constituents.
- Define the product requirements for your assigned product(s) by writing clearly articulated epics & stories, with clear acceptance criteria.
- Participate and/or lead agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, sprint demos, sprint retrospectives, refinements, and estimation sessions.
- Participate and/or lead go-to-market activities by ensuring operational, sales, and market readiness.
- Serve as a subject matter expert regarding your assigned product(s), showing responsiveness to questions, ideas, and feedback from internal and external partners.
- Contribute to helping us implement product management best practices and processes.
- Conduct “build-buy-partner” analysis to help determine which capabilities should be built internally vs purchasing or partnering externally.

- Strong communicator, comfortable presenting in front of groups to evangelize the product, train stakeholders, participate in sales processes, etc.
- Comfortable interfacing with customers, users, and market-facing staff to build empathy, solicit ideas, and gather feedback to inform the product roadmap.
- Flexible in approach, with ability to adapt to an evolving market in a fast-paced, quickly growing startup.
- Experience in agile development methodologies, including feature/user story definition, backlog grooming, prioritization, and agile ceremonies.
- Ability and desire to work in-office consistently on most days.
Education/Experience
- Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience working as a Product Manger, preferably on Saas or marketplace products.
- Experience in healthcare, banking, and/or work-force management technology product/services a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Certificates and Licenses:
- None required, but a certification in Pragmatic Marketing or other Product Management framework is a plus.
