Summary
This position will support the New Equipment, Modernizations, Repair and Field Service of the Rolling Mill Shape Control Systems business in North America.

What you'll do
- Responsible for business development of the Rolling Mill Shape Control Systems business in North America. Defines customers and sales targets.
- Works directly with VP Electrics & Automation in the development and ongoing update of the strategic plan for the Americas.
- Promotes the equipment reconditioning/manufacturing & parts business as well as new equipment directly with existing and potential new customers.
- Visits potential customers to determine project scope and then work internally to assist in preparation of proposals.
- Work directly with the Plant Managers and in conjunction with the engineers as an internal resource on Shape Control Systems equipment.
- Trains the Product Specialists (SUS) in the expansion of Shape Control Systems technical support and business development.
- Coordinate with SUS and SDE engineering, spare parts and field service departments for Shape Control Systems equipment.
- Interaction with respective Product Managers in the German BU.
- Provide project oversight, managing customer expectations with an emphasis on sales/business development.
- Provide plans for development of additional business opportunities and product growth.

- Expected travel, 40% to 50%
What you'll need
- Broad knowledge and experience in the metals industry - experience generally gained after 10+ years and successive progression through the industry
- Requires strong working knowledge of Shape Control Systems equipment maintenance, operations and engineering
- Requires travel within the American market and occasionally abroad.
- Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team driven philosophies
