Job Description

The Value Stream Owner (Product Manager) position within Medica's Business Transformation Division, serves as liaison with their primary business stakeholders who create and develop products to market, as well as with IT and other key stakeholders. This position helps to ensure the right features are representative of the business product needs and understood by the Business Transformation Program team.

This role will be accountable for understanding the strategy and vision of the Value Stream this open position is aligned to, Create Products within Medica. The Create Products Value Stream is responsible for creating and configuring products for our members.

The relationship between this role and their key stakeholders is paramount for delivery success. Provides direction to other staff and performs more advanced responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 7+ years of health plan operations experience required
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in building strong, key stakeholder relationships to most effectively work together to ensure product success.
  • An understanding of the development, implementation, enhancement, managing and innovation of market leading products.
  • An understanding of key stakeholder's regulatory, clinical and operational requirements.
  • Understanding key stakeholders' benefit modifications, evaluating benefits offerings for prospective and renewing groups
  • Understanding of key stakeholders' wellness and clinical strategies.

This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the Minnetonka, MN office for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.
