Job Description
About Ruggable:
Ruggable is a Los Angeles-based, venture-backed, rapidly growing e-commerce startup that is disrupting the $7B rug industry and revolutionizing the market for residential rugs. Our patented 2-Piece Rug System allows you to remove the top layer of your rug and wash it in your home washing machine, offering an affordable, stylish and convenient solution for young families, pet owners, and busy individuals. We're a small, entrepreneurial team with big ambitions. We have a strong brand, established traction, and amazing advisors fueling our steady growth. This is an opportunity to get in at the ground floor and solve for complex challenges, while charting your own career.

We are looking for a Product Manager who will oversee the design, development, launch and iteration of Ruggable’s internal (operations) apps. The Product Manager will be a foundational member of the Operations team and serve as a key player in Ruggable’s growth. Our customers are onsite, making real-time feedback, user testing, and focus groups easily accessible. Ease of use with these apps is imperative to supporting our growing eCommerce business.
The position will be based either in our headquarters in Los Angeles, CA; Chicago, IL; or Charlotte, NC.
What You’ll Do:
- Play an integral role in defining the short-term and long-term technology strategy for Ruggable’s suite of products; both products in direct responsibility and as consulted in other areas
- Plan, document, and articulate product strategy and plans to internal customers and stakeholders
- Own and be responsible for the end-to-end process of planning, execution, testing, and overall success of technical projects within your vertical
- Ability to delegate tasks and enlist support from project managers, analysts, and/or APMs while maintaining overall initiative deadlines
- Work directly with engineers to launch new products and features, test performance, and iterate quickly meanwhile bridging the gap with other key stakeholders.Â
- Work cross-functionally with leaders across operations to create processes that solve complex challenges and are built to scale
- Build and foster relationships with stakeholders and gain an intimate understanding of pain points of our end users to understand which problems to solve, how, when, and why
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:Â
- Technical Background (Bachelor’s Degree: computer science, or mechanical/industrial engineering, business or related field)
- 2-4 years of product management experience at a consumer tech company
- Proficiency in the Atlassian Suite: Jira, Confluence

- Background in managing and leveraging a wide variety of third party systems (Shopify, Optimizely, Heap, LogRocket, Google Analytics etc.)
- Feel comfortable using SQL to quickly analyze different datasets to drive key KPIs
- Ability to quickly mock up product ideas using Figma, Sketch or another design software
- Ability to document articulate product plans - google docs, sheets, etc.
Preferred:
