Grow your career as a successful Product Manager within Trisept Solutions. In this role, you will oversee delivery and execution of business prioritized technology projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. You will stay up to date with all current and future projects and the portfolio budget while consistently monitoring the portfolio to ensure it is achieving strategic objectives. You will work with Product Management and Development Leadership to coordinate and plan work and resources, track progress on projects and provide status to Trisept leadership and other key stakeholders. You will direct a team of project managers or scrum masters that plans, executes, and delivers all projects on time, on budget, and within scope in accordance with business priorities. In addition, you will provide management support for the delivery teams by removing impediments to delivery success and ensure the success of all projects/programs under their supervision.

A successful Product Manager will:

  • Plan, lead, organize, and motivate agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality, and deliver projects with business value to users.
  • Manage numerous concurrent projects across Product Portfolio.
  • Organize and lead project status and work meetings; prepare progress reports, manage risks and issues.
  • Support Product Managers in managing expectations for deliverables; manage stakeholder communications and assist in implementing an effective system of project governance.
  • Focus on quality of the end deliverable, ensuring that all projects deliver accurately and timely.
  • Continuously monitor team throughout and/or velocity to achieve iteration goals and commitments.
  • Use technical and functional knowledge to remove roadblocks within the standing team and identify any technical risks that might have an impact on the delivery; communicate obstacles requiring outside resolution to the team member's supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the product team to create transparency into the standing team's activities and progress by supporting program/project risk, issue and change management, and status reporting.
  • Deliver consistency of project management and reporting across all projects.
  • Ensure priority projects are escalated to management for determination, and all dependencies between projects are understood and managed, clearly communicating expectations to stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Function as a project manager/Scrum Master as needed.
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of the portfolio.
  • Lead or coordinate cross-functional project/program teams from design to delivery of fully developed products that are ready for customer use; monitor performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.
  • Provide key stakeholders with timely assessment of portfolio performance, as well as identification of portfolio-level issues and risks that are impacting performance.
  • Measure and monitor the value and benefit realization to the organization through portfolio performance metrics and targets.
  • Support decision making by ensuring timely and consistent communication to stakeholders on progress, changes and impact on the portfolio.
  • Ensure that initiative deliverables are completed according to the defined processes; track project plans and status reports.
  • Monitor the integration of multiple programs and projects across the organization.
  • Engage with and conduct regular reviews with Trisept leadership, stakeholders, and other relevant bodies to validate and assess the project portfolio, and executes changes.
  • Conduct proactive portfolio optimization and continuous process improvement for project delivery.
  • Ensure that entire project lifecycle delivery and portfolio management is carried out in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Ensure appropriate governance is in place for all projects so that accountabilities and responsibilities are clear.
  • Actively propose and drive agreed new ways of working to meet changing business needs and deliver value for money.

A successful Product Manager will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from a 4 year college or university.
  • 8+ years of program/project management leadership experience successfully delivering challenging and complex technology programs/projects involving working with globally based employees; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization while fostering an environment of collaboration and trust.
  • Excellent, clear and concise communication skills, both oral and written; ability to present ideas, collaborate effectively and influence at all levels of the organization; comfortable in presenting to executives.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, problem-solving, team, conflict management and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate high level of integrity, ability to work with ambiguity, and strong sense of confidence to deliver on responsibilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines; including Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to multitask, ensuring that multiple projects are delivered against tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills; diplomacy, ethics, integrity and flexibility.
  • Experience at identifying opportunities to standardize and/or streamline processes.
  • Resource management experience with a small team.
  • Ability to lead and model behaviors for other team members.
  • Demonstrate the ability to establish budgets, forecast and manage financial results.
  • Industry recognized certification such as; Certificated Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), Certificated Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred.
