Job Description:

Opportunity to join the Product Management team as a Product Manager for the industry's leading Access Technologies product team, working with architectures and technologies such as HFC, RF, Optical Transport, FTTH/RFoG, Extended Spectrum DOCSIS 4.0, DAA, and RPD/RMD. We are looking for an enthusiastic product champion that can take total product line ownership & responsibility to help CommScope expand its leadership in this field. As a Product Manager you will:
  • Increase the profitability of existing products and develop new products for CommScope, for our Outside Plant portfolio.
  • Build products from existing ideas and help to develop new concepts based on your industry experience and contact with customers.
  • Must be an effective communicator with both internal employees and external customers.
  • Work with Engineering defining product release requirements, authoring detailed product requirements documents.
  • Partner with Marketing Communications to define go-to-market strategy, product positioning and key benefits.
  • Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for your product offering, working with the Sales team and key customers.


The scope of this role requires a professional having wide-ranging experience and recognized as an individual contributor who uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Work is accomplished without considerable direction. Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads multiple projects.
  • Conducts extensive competitive analyses, assesses market dynamics and presents findings to business leaders.
  • Defines significant product/service opportunities, analyses market position, and formulates business cases.
  • Conducts financial analysis on new product proposals.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure solid product supply.
  • Drive response to customers RFI's and RFP's
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Travel 25% of the time


Qualifications:
  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred
  • 1-3 years of related experience preferred
  • Proven track record of successful products & solutions launches
  • Comprehensive knowledge of managing the complete product life cycle
  • Understanding of Cable TV networks/products, including use cases and product requirements, preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, presentations, motivation, target setting and team building
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work and drive alignment within cross-functional teams
