Summary
We are looking for an experienced healthcare Product Manager to join our team! Our Product Managers thrive at the intersection of corporate strategy, customer feedback, market trends, and technical considerations. This role collaborates closely with customer-facing teams to gather feedback, feature requests, and market insights that inform our strategy, goals, and prioritization decisions. This person leads a team of Product Managers and serves as the bridge between customers, engineering teams, and executive leadership, and effectively communicates the complete picture to all stakeholders. Our ideal candidate will use their expertise in hospital revenue cycle to derive actionable insights and optimize operational efficiency in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with PMs to maintain product roadmaps for a portfolio of related solutions (3-4), including existing live products and proof of concept products.
- Manage, mentor, and guide a team of 2-4 direct reports, with potential for team expansion as required.
- Work in partnership with Engineering Managers to ensure successful delivery of product implementation, feature development, and ongoing product research artifacts.
- Develop comprehensive roadmaps that effectively align the client perspective, technical considerations, and company goals. Ensure that long-term product goals and short-term customer deliverables are managed and prioritized appropriately.
- Interpret customer requirements, understanding the operational and technical complexity involved, and articulate a clear narrative around the product development process.
- Take ownership of product backlogs, ensuring they are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with the overall product strategy.
- Develop trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders such as customer-facing implementation and account management teams.
- Effectively communicate internally and externally to keep stakeholders well-informed about ongoing roadmap initiatives, including items not currently prioritized.
- Collaborate with customers, internal customer success teams, and Product Management teams to convert business requirements into execution-ready technical requirements.
- Identify roadblocks to success and efficiency, proactively working to remove them in order to shorten feedback loops and enhance our collective ability to solve customer problems.
- Escalate issues and risks to management in a timely manner, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Lead the team in efforts to produce and release product and process documentation related to your product.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience product management experience in a technical/development environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or a related field and/or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in the healthcare provider revenue cycle is preferred.
- Experience with Atlassian (i.e. JIRA and Confluence) systems.
- Certification in Epic (PB/HB, Claims, or Access) is preferred.

Travel Requirements
This role does not require domestic travel. These travel expectations will be communicated by the department manager or executive. Janus is committed to providing as much flexibility and advanced notice as possible related to scheduling travel.
Physical Demands
This job operated in a professional remote or in-office environment. This job uses standard office equipment. This job is largely a sedentary role; however, the employee has the flexibility to move as needed. Constantly operates a computer, phone, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. The employee frequently communicates with internal and/or external people. Must be able to exchange accurate information in a timely manner. Must be able to recognize objects from short and long distances.
