Product Manager, Access Management (All Levels)

You will lead access management for the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. You will create simple yet secure authorization policies and guide a unified policy model across all Databricks teams. Your work will help make IT administrators feel at ease with increasing Databricks usage in their organizations. Our data champions who will use your elegant delegated administration model to foster collaborative data experiences and share AI-powered insight with their colleagues. You will report to a product management leader.

The impact you will have

• Make our access control policies simple to use across Databricks and Lakehouse partners.
• Build a vision for delegated administration with Databricks. Recommend the right built-in controls and capabilities for our users to have the right amount of access.
• Improve customer satisfaction with a clear narrative which indicates it is easy to for the right people to get the right level of access to Databricks initially and as Databricks usage deepens in organizations.
• Deepen our understanding of customer needs around access management. Use customer inputs to serve as an expert and propose new access management capabilities or best practices from the industry.
• Rationalize and refine the differences in access control mechanisms across customer user journeys and multi-cloud experiences on Azure, AWS and Google Cloud.

What we look for

• 6+ years of product management experience with enterprise or SaaS products.
• Partnering with very senior technical leaders from Engineering, while going deep on technical concepts.
• Work with multiple teams to understand access control needs. Discover organic incentives for other teams to adopt new platform capabilities.
• An accomplished Product manager who can have customer conversations, write PRDs, determine success metrics and communicate clearly.
• A background in access management is helpful. Familiarity with directory technologies (such as Active Directory or Okta) or access control models (such as RBAC or ABAC)
