Product Manager, Ad Experience
Job Description
Pluto TV is looking for a Product Manager, Ad Experience who will work to deliver an efficient ad experience for Pluto TV! You will work across teams to improve our ad experience for viewers and for our internal and external partners. Success in this role comes from defining an ideal state, a roadmap to achieve it, collaboration with partners and execution against specific achievements.
This role will have product responsibilities for features and capabilities that control the ad experience for viewers, such as determining how many ads are appropriate, what ads should be shown, how they are presented to viewers and how to measure the success of these changes. You will focus on supporting the vision and strategy, influencing teams across the company, driving business and engineering execution, and tuning the experience through experimentation and optimization efforts.
You should have an understanding of the advertising industry, maturity/influence to work across internal teams, and experience defining product strategy and performing those plans. Experience working in consumer product, UX, ad technology and consumer research roles are encouraged to apply!

Hiring Salary Range: $85,000.00 - 130,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities
- Cross-Functional Team Relationship: Develop and maintain healthy, productive, working relationships across the Product, Program, and Engineering teams, as well as Ad Operations, Marketing, Programming, Content Operations, BI, and Sales.
- Product Requirements & Planning: Support and chip in to the roadmap. Lead outcomes-based goals, strategies, and plans and ensure their prioritization on the product roadmap. Write product requirements with clear definitions of goals, risks, dependencies, assumptions, and acceptance criteria. Run these products through the software development lifecycle from concept to launch and post-launch.
- Team Efficiency: Become a strong member of the Product team through product ideation discussions, alignment to the operational cadence, helping others succeed, living our cultural values, and improvements to how we operate.
- Operational Planning, QA & Troubleshooting: Work with Finance and Operational teams to determine and enact an operational model for handling the Ad Experience. Triage issues, drive resolution efforts, and communicate status/results to partners.
- Viewer Compassion & Advocacy: Develop a proven understanding of consumer sentiment about advertising on Pluto TV and their behaviors related to that advertising. Ideal candidates have experience researching and gathering feedback from consumers.
- A/B Testing: Practitioner-level experience defining and driving A/B testing or other forms of user testing is valuable. We have a strong preference for candidates with demonstrated experience running experiments, interpreting results, and driving continuous optimization efforts.
- Ad Tech/Experience: Become a guide on the Ad Experience at Pluto TV and with competitors. Engage with internal partners and evangelize Pluto TV's Ad Experience plan.
- Business Knowledge: How the business operates and how it is performing with respect to ad experience. This will be demonstrated through familiarity with business performance, understanding of root causes, critical metric charting and ongoing monitoring of system performance.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of product management experience, particularly management of a product (or portfolio of products) from conception to launch to ongoing performance measurement and optimization.
- 1+ years with digital advertising, preferably in TV or streaming video.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence and cross-team collaboration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid presentation skills, and shown ability to run effective meetings; comfortable interacting at all levels of an organization.
- Analyzing data to identify trends, diagnose problems, and to find solutions.
