Product Manager, Core & Platform

We progress beyond a myopic focus on "what to do today" towards "what we need to build for tomorrow." The impact of our work empowers social good organizations, funding organizations, social change nonprofits, and political candidates whose goals are to help those who need it most, and our products must live up to those critical customer missions every day.
This Product Manager role will be responsible for supporting the core CRM and platform that powers the fundraising and engagement tools that underly the EverAction, VAN and NGP products and is used by non-profit and political organizations to connect with and inspire millions of supporters in the support of social change.

What You'll Do:
- Create and evangelize a vision that delivers valuable and usable capabilities to our clients within our software platform
- Deliver a roadmap that focuses on how we help our clients effectively raise money and engage with supporters online, enabling them to win elections and drive social change
- Lead a talented, driven, collaborative scrum team towards delivering your roadmap. Incorporate team feedback while you aim to deliver the best capabilities for our clients. Exercise your strong prioritization and communication skills to build consensus
- Work hand-in-hand with your fellow Product Managers and broader cross-functional teams to ensure we are delivering a cohesive and consistent platform strategy together; don't work in a silo
- Lead discovery efforts directly with current and prospective clients, gathering feedback and insights that help drive your vision and roadmap. These include win-loss calls, user groups, customer advisory board calls, and direct client interviews
- Incorporate feedback from other departments in the company, ensuring you understand the impact of our decisions on the business as a whole
- Measure and present the impact of your team's work directly to the leadership team, quantifying the value of your progress and adjusting based on new data
Ideal Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in software product management within an Agile environment preferred
- Understanding of how non-profits and/or campaigns organizational strength and power through engaging constituents to take action and give both time and money is preferred
- Familiarity using NGP VAN or EveryAction is a plus, but not a necessity
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Welcoming attitude to receiving and adapting to feedback from both users and internal stakeholders, building stronger products as a result
- Strong leadership skills that ensure everyone is driving toward the product goals together and bought-in to your vision
- Experience working with technical leaders to navigate thorny and complex problems that allow CRMs and platforms to scale
- Strong communication and presentation skills used for presenting internally to leadership team members as well as running client discovery sessions such as user groups and product demos
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple functional areas of business - engineering, design, finance, sales, and marketing
- Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative
This position is part of a bargaining unit represented by CWA Local 1400, 2336 or 13000.
