Product Manager Cyber
Job Description
The Personal Lines Cyber Product Manger working with the Cyber Practice Leader for the Treaty Division, will have responsibility to profitably manage, monitor and expand HSB's portfolio of Cyber Products. The Personal Lines Cyber Product Manager must understand the rapidly evolving Cyber landscape and be able to offer insights in adjusting strategy. The role requires working closely with client managers to help communicate HSB's value proposition, as well as interfacing with key internal stakeholders to ensure both excellent product performance and an excellent client experience. This role supports a key strategic initiative, to continue HSB's leadership position in Cyber.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- 7+ years' experience in underwriting, product management, or other relevant insurance experience, preferably experience of commercial, personal lines primary property casualty insurance and reinsurance coverage, concepts, principles, exposures, processes and knowledge of occupancy exposure
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in Product Management, Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, Business Administration or Risk Management
- An advanced degree (Masters/MBA) or Insurance accreditation (CPCU) is desirable
- Experience in Cyber Insurance is required
- Product Management experience and strong analytical background performs continuous data-gathering and analysis to anticipate developments and identify business opportunities; understands measures and monitors the drivers of business and financial results; aptitude for numerical and/or financial evaluation of business performance
- Experience successfully managing a P&L preferred, strong financial acumen
- Experience driving strategy and execution, ideally in a product or business role and across multiple functions
- Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable presenting in front of clients (C-Suite level) and internal business partners
- Customer Centric Orientation: Has a deep understanding of the business, challenges, needs, and expectations of customers
- Encourages new ways of looking at problems, processes and solutions. Develops sound strategies for capitalizing on opportunities to drive results
- Understands the business end-to-end, from product development through sales, servicing and claim.
- Ability to influence the organization to drive business plans and achieve results, including an ability to work with cross-functional teams to solve problems
- Strong communication skills, both oral & written. Ability to tailor presentations and material to a wide variety of audiences
- Ability to absorb multi-disciplinary input and translate into effective actions.
- Industry Certifications is a positive
- Willingness to learn and receive coaching
- Business insurance forms/product development, claims or legal experience.
- Ability to collect data from data marts or willingness and ability to develop these skills
- Highly proactive, with a high degree of initiative, and naturally curious and inquisitive to identify issues and decisively solve problems, influence change and provide advice and consultation on complex coverage issues
- Resourceful to research issues, assemble support and provide creative solutions to complex underwriting issues
- Understands the organization's structure and exhibits a high degree of courage to influence stakeholders, resolve and manage conflict and implement underwriting improvements that lead to positive underwriting results
- Familiarity with data driven decision making and ability to translate complicated concepts into pragmatic solutions for the business
- Strategic vision while maintaining day to day customer focus
