We’re looking for a Product Manager for our data platform team with experience in an early or growth stage startup. Our data asset is at the core of our business and your job would be to ensure that data is high quality, highly differentiated and usable for deriving actionable insights. You will lead efforts to harness data to communicate the value of our solutions to both customers and internal stakeholders. You will seek opportunities to further enhance our data products by researching other data sources, driving projects to make the data product more usable and collaborating to ensure the data pipeline produces a high quality data product at scale.

What you’ll do

  • Become the subject matter expert in our data asset and feel accountable for both its quality and the value it delivers.
  • Understand your users and customers: what they need, what they do not need, how they think - so you can guide your product team to build solutions that solve their challenges.
  • Use data to quantify how both the business and your products are performing to enable you to make informed decisions using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with a team of designers and engineers on your product team, and coordinate when necessary with other product teams to deliver high-quality experiences to your customers.
  • Be a resource for customers and internal users who need to understand why the data is behaving as it is and what the data is saying.
  • Facilitate discovery and delivery phases, knowing when to raise your hand to ask for help of other subject matter experts to ensure you are applying the right tools to solve the current problems you are addressing as a team.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that impact the company’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.

Who you are:

  • Problem solver: You have an ability to rapidly assimilate information on multiple issues being discussed, pull in the appropriate stakeholders, outline a resolution path to get to desired business outcomes
  • Data driven: You love using data to tell stories and answer questions. You are not dissuaded by messy data and are able to create a methodical approach to clear the noise and find clarity. You are both curious about big picture problems but also detail oriented in the weeds. You are curious and look to other data sources to find more ways to add value.
  • Collaborator. You are excited to join a fast growing and often chaotic startup. We the pressure mounts,  you enjoy finding ways to work with cross-functional colleagues to get things done.

What you’ll need:

  • 2+ years of Product Management experience (data analyst and product owner profiles will be considered) with progressively increasing responsibility, preferably in a healthcare domain
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex concepts for a non-technical audience
  • Exceptional project management skills, with superb attention to detail and an emphasis on structured problem-solving
  • Experience working closely with a diverse set of cross-functional teams and subject matter experts with demonstrated ability to influence and lead without authority
  • Strong command of data analysis tools beyond Excel (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Python, R, and/or others)
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, such as working with payers, providers, or pharmaceutical manufacturers is ideal

Expected Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 base + bonus
