Product Manager, Education

The Education team at Unity is committed to the principle that the world is a better place with more successful creators in it, and works to support learners and educators in upskilling and reskilling to careers in real-time 3D roles!

The Product Manager for Education on the Unity Education team will manage development for one or more learning products in the team’s portfolio. Reporting to the head of product for education, they will drive the ideation, discovery, definition, design, development, launch, and operation of products for the education market! They will work cross-functionally with UX design, instructional design, project management, engineering, product marketing, and product operations to execute a roadmap for bold but scalable solutions meeting learner and educator needs.

As a product manager responsible for products and features within an integrated ecosystem of educational products, they will work with the head of product and with the other product managers on the team to determine results and set priorities. They will follow processes established by the team, and partner with its senior members when necessary to ensure that work is executed to a global standard of excellence.

• Research industry best practices, competitive landscape, and business models to inform and validate strategy
• Convert customer needs and jobs to be done into precise, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by a deep understanding of online learning, educators, and the education market
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and build consensus across partners from product management, instructional design, UX, engineering, marketing, sales, and legal
• Work with the head of product for education, and with the other product managers on the team, to set near-term priorities that connect to a multi-year vision for the team
• Define success criteria, and work with data analysts to extract, analyze, and visualize quantitative and qualitative data to drive improvements to the product in an unbaised manner

• Experience synthesizing inputs from stakeholders with insights from market research to deliver products that are effective, technically feasible, and have product-market fit
• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products from conception to market release
• A deep understanding of the education market, including buyer and user personas, and empathy for educators using Unity

• Experience with web products, including working with web UX/UI designers and engineering teams
