Product Manager, Filtration

What you will do

He/she will manage the High Efficiency HVAC Air Filters within Johnson Controls Air Filtration business on a global scale. You will own new product introduction and obsolescence, oversee cost-out/value-engineering initiatives, coordinate new customer and market expansion, define and manage market research, and assist with brand development programs.

How you will do it

• Collect "Voice of the Customer" information to develop critical Commercial specifications, build financial business cases to support programs, and work with Engineering and Manufacturing to establish project plans and manage projects from concept to launch.
• Establish multi-year strategies for growth and cost-out and initiate and manage tactical programs that execute that strategy.
• Interface with Manufacturing to redesign existing products for more efficient production and material cost reductions, as well as product improvements that add more customer value.
• Work with Technical Services and Marketing to ensure all technical documents and marketing literature are accurate and disseminated.
• Research and compile market data ranging from approval requirements to market gaps.
• Manage approvals, re-certifications and other product needs with cross-functional players.
• Through participation with the sales team, identify emerging markets and products needed to effectively compete in all global markets.
• Oversee and conduct in-house training for internal and external customers.

What we look for

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
• Minimum of 6-8 years of HVAC Air Filtration experience, with 2+ years in a customer-facing or product development role.
• Proven ability to drive results amidst changing business environment.
• Experience with project management leadership with a focus on strategy, product development and/or business process improvement.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for data trend analysis activities.
• Where legally permissible, if hired, candidate is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 no later than his/her start date, unless candidate has a valid medical condition or sincerely held religious belief precluding he/she from receiving the vaccine.

Preferred

• Knowledge and understanding of High Efficiency HVAC Filters.
• Understanding of Air Filter Testing Standards, Methods and Requirements.
