Product Manager - Finance and Supply Chain
Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to make an impact on new product development and management for Gartner's Finance and Supply Chain products teams. The Product Manager will be a critical member of the team responsible for product planning and execution and will contribute to the ongoing transformation of the businesses.
The Product Manager will be responsible for providing the analysis that guides the innovation roadmap to help maximize value for our clients, including gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, performing quantitative and qualitative analysis, leveraging scalable best practices, identifying market-driven enhancement opportunities, tracking progress, and driving impact.
This high-impact, high visibility role sits within the Global Product Management team and will significantly contribute to achieving sustained double-digit contract value growth and strong client retention.
What you will do:
- Ensure the business is focused is on the right things, at the right time to support role-based product launches and technology/data driven enhancements that are valuable for our clients
- Become an expert in understanding client needs and drivers
- Conduct strategic and operational analysis on a routine and ad-hoc basis.
- Analyze customer, financial and operational reports, and dashboards to identify trends and improvement areas
- Identify & analyze key business metrics to uncover reasons for success, reasons for obstacles and need for product enhancements
- Capture and analyze client feedback to inform and enhance the products
- Assist in brainstorming and collaborative problem-solving sessions with Research, Product Management, Sales, Services and Technology to surface and test product concepts, features, and enhancements
- Project manage the development process from concept to launch, ensuring continued impact and tracking progress of metrics post-launch
- Develop and present regular updates to executives
- Lead problem-solving efforts to identify and remove impediments to product adoption, growth and drive high-levels of customer satisfaction/retention
- Drive the commercial success and client satisfaction
What you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree required ; MBA a plus
- 5+ years of progressive business experience; product management experience a plus
- Expertise in the Finance domain highly valued
- Strong quantitative and qualitative business analytic skills, including ability to turn analysis into actionable recommendations with measurable business impact
- Ability to lead/influence cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization and work collaboratively in a matrixed environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- A bias for action, including balancing tradeoffs, a willingness to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to get things done
