Job Description

We're looking for a Data Products-focused Product Manager for our HealthCare initiative, which has a mission to enable cancer center physicians and care teams to deliver high quality, cutting edge care to their patients. The HealthCare Data Products team is focused on providing accessible, useful, and scalable data products and systems to community oncology practices to help them make better decisions and improve on all clinical and organization aspects of cancer care. You will work closely with the largest community oncology practices in the country to help them improve cancer outcomes.
What You'll Do
As a Product Manager, you will own the vision and technical roadmap for helping oncology practices get access to critical data in the most effective ways and make improved decisions through this data. You will be engaging senior technical leadership at the practices to align on shared long-term outcomes, clarifying the business outcomes, and building internal buy-in for these outcomes. This involves all aspects of Flatiron HC's data strategy, including interactive reports, bulk data products, and data warehouse solutions. You will collaborate with many other Flatiron product managers and teams to build out a sustainable interoperability ecosystem.
In addition you will:
  • Own aligning our business strategy and metrics with our product development efforts and leading an engineering team from design through successful rollout.
  • Manage and drive software projects with high technical risk and high coordination complexity.
  • Own the long-term strategy and outcomes for our data products platforms, used extensively by other Flatiron teams.
  • Create detailed roadmaps, prioritize relentlessly, and communicate outcomes and trade-offs internally.
  • Identify and fix process gaps around execution, roll-out, and ongoing support of software projects.
  • Communicate and evangelize the value of technical infrastructure to the business stakeholders.

Who You Are
You're a Product Manager with at least 3 years of experience in a software, SaaS, or systems development environment. You have a proven track record of working with large enterprise clients, and with complex enterprise or regulated products. You have successfully executed complex rollouts and delivered long-term projects with multiple internal and customer stakeholders. You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who seeks and gives candid feedback, and values the chance to make an important impact.
  • You have past experience as a product leader working with complex data products and pipelines.
  • You have Product Management experience, especially building data or vendor ecosystems.
  • You demonstrate superb verbal and written communication skills, including ability to pick up and communicate nuanced product and technical concepts.
  • You demonstrate strong project management skills for long-term projects and excellent organizational skills.
  • You have a demonstrated competency with complex rollouts and long-term support for large organizations.
  • You have strong technical aptitude and a demonstrated ability to understand detailed technical designs, challenges, and risks.
  • You have a BA/BS degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • While not required, experience working with health informatics, healthcare data, and healthcare data standards is a plus.
