Product Manager, Hotels

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. An effective collaborator, you will frequently engage with senior leadership and other departments within HotelTonight & Airbnb to drive complex, cross-functional business initiatives. At the same time, you should be an independent operator - comfortable with defining what success will look like for yourself and then effectively delivering against that. 

As the Product Manager for the Hotels team, you will be building products to grow Airbnb’s hotel market opportunity and bring innovative approaches to onboard new hotel inventory to Airbnb. An ideal candidate will have experience building hotel and/or enterprise tools and customer-facing experiences, and should work comfortably with both frontend and backend engineers. 

• Establish product vision and roadmaps. Challenge the status quo and inspire the Hotels team towards a higher outcome.
• Create clear goals for the team. Efficiently execute to ship products and deliver impact for our business and users.
• Lead a large group of cross-functional members to deliver on the Hotels team’s mission. Communicate concisely and influence outcomes.
• Understand guest and hotel needs; identify and define product requirements. You will give our customers and partners a fantastic experience by understanding their world and delivering impeccably crafted products and services.
• Build alignment with cross-functional partners (Engineering, Marketing, Operations, FP&A, Customer Experience, Trust, etc.), counterparts across the company and Leadership/Executive team.
• Define and analyze success of product releases that inform future product strategy for the hotel segment at Airbnb.

• 10+ years of product management experience.
• Demonstrated track record of product leadership. Influences disparate teams with speed and ease to drive alignment and decisions that prioritize the success of the product and beyond. 
• Strong understanding of technical architecture for complex and highly scalable web and mobile applications. Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience.
• Crafts and proactively iterates a product vision, strategy and roadmap for your product areas. Autonomously crafts a clear, concise and easy to understand product narrative that influences stakeholders.
• Creative problem solver. Creates clarity from ambiguous situations and guides teams through business pivots while proactively managing team expectations and morale.
• Role models behaviors that encourage open communication and curiosity. Creates and preserves collaborative and trusting relationships across teams.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Can adapt communication style according to the audience to drive team alignment.

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience leading teams across platforms, including web, iOS and Android.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $180,000 and $230,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
