We are seeking a Product Manager II to join our growing Partner Tools PM team. As a member of the Partner Tools PM team, you’ll have an opportunity to work with our entire platform, including software (frontend and backend), integrations, and the connection to hardware devices in a smart home. The meaningful work we do to connect a broad range of technologies gives our users peace of mind that their operations are effective to keep property and loved ones safe.
We are seeking a solution-oriented professional with good communication skills, someone who is self-driven, technically competent and who has proven product management experiences. In this position, you will work closely with the software engineering team and stakeholders to bring, maintain, and develop Alarm.com services and tools. Help us expand our ability to serve customers in global markets, open up new verticals, and innovate new applications for Alarm.com technology!
As a Product Manager II, you will:
- Own specific Alarm.com product lines, advocate for success and quality of these product lines within Alarm.com and with external parties
- Drive the entire product integration life cycle –
- Understand the existing features of Alarm.com’s platform, and manage all aspects of integrating these features with partner company’s products
- Coordinate integration and product launch roadmaps across multiple internal and external teams, including teams cloud platform engineers, quality engineers, UI/UX designers, marketing, sales, and other stakeholders
- Oversee quality assurance efforts for product integration
- Manage beta programs, both internally and externally
- Develop product marketing materials and technical documentation to support product integration
- Develop and maintain relationships with Alarm.com technology partners
- Champion the go-to market strategy and launches for new products – facilitating product release with engineering, sales, supply chain etc., educating internal and external stakeholders and developing/delivering product presentations.
- Conduct market research – Gather feedback from customers and analyze product
- Measure and ensure that customer satisfaction goals are met by working closely with all areas of the company, including the engineering, support, sales, and marketing teams.
- Work with engineering, support, sales and high-profile partners to troubleshoot and resolve escalated product issues
- Develop user personas to align and drive strategic initiatives
- Recommend and champion improvements to existing product lines with collaboration from internal and external stakeholders
- Act as the product expert and liaison to internal parties as well as external dealers and partners
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Successful candidates will demonstrate natural leadership, critical thinking, self-motivation, excellent communication skills, curiosity, creativity, and tenacity
- 2-5 years in product, project, or program management with a track record for managing and launching successful products.
- Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, agile driven engineering team, based on mutual trust and credibility
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for enterprise technology and interest in developing a deep technical understanding of Alarm.com and partner products
- Willingness to assist in variety of product related tasks (logistical, testing, troubleshooting, planning)
- Ability to act as customer advocate in dynamic group environment while considering team’s overall priorities and goals
- Uses sound business judgment to develop and manage client relationships
- B.S. or B.A. required. Degree in an engineering discipline, computer science, math, physics or related field is highly preferred
