We are looking for a Product Manager II work on Grubhub Homepage and Search experiences. The ideal candidate for this role has strong business, technical, and analytical acumen, is comfortable managing trade offs, and is a strong communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders from peer-level to C-level. They excel at problem-solving in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and are adept at leveraging data and insights to drive value through their products. In addition, the ability to develop and work backwards from a deep understanding of the customer's perspective is crucial. You will report directly to a Sr Director of Product and work closely with other product managers, designers, analytics and engineers to push the Discovery strategy forward.
The Impact You Will Drive:
  • Strategy and vision : develop a deep understanding of our customers, market trends, company needs, and competitors to define a compelling product vision for Home and Search products.
  • Product Roadmap and planning : create and manage a comprehensive product roadmap, outlining features, improvements, and optimizations based on user needs and data insights.
  • Cross-functional collaboration : Work closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Research. Serve as a liaison between e-commerce business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize needs, and help identify cross-functional dependencies. You will clearly communicate product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to development teams.:
  • Data-Driven decision making : Conduct tests and experiments, analyze user behavior, conversion rates, and search performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Bias for action : Think quickly, take calculated risks, and embrace change. You will continuously iterate on the product, releasing updates and improvements based on user feedback and changing market conditions.

What You Bring to the Table :
  • 2+ years of experience as a Product Manager in an Agile environment
  • Experience in user-facing industries such as eCommerce, technology or multi-sided marketplaces
  • BA/BS required, with a focus on computer science or mathematics preferred; MBA is a plus
  • B.S. or similar in a technical discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics) is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions
  • Displays communication skills (writing and verbal)
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills, working across a broad organization including technology, Product Design, Engineering, and Grow teams
  • Experience working with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA) to drive product development
  • Ability to weigh competing priorities, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with stakeholders, driving to consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching business priorities

  • Experience manipulating large, raw datasets using tools/techniques such as SQL, pivot tables, lookups, etc.; experience with Presto, Redash, Tableau
  • Experience with ML-based recommendations or search algorithms
  • Experience in ecommerce or marketplace tech companies

New York Salary Range: $126,500 - $150,000
The Base Pay component of our Total Rewards package is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: job responsibilities, location, experience and, education/certifications. In addition to the pay component, this role may be eligible for equity and benefits as part of the Total Rewards package. The Total Rewards package will be determined at the time a contingent offer is made.
