Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Aerospace & Defense (A&D) business unit is seeking a Product Manager for the Integrated Solutions Group (ISG) based in Asheville, NC or Middletown, PA. You will manage all aspects of a product line for a Rugged Fiber Optics (RFO), including driving new product development, manufacturing, marketing & sales. You will run the product line as a 'mini' GM responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership, & capacity plans to meet sales and gross (or standard) margin targets. Plus, work in conjunction with the manager to finalize product line strategies. Key duties include:

Market Sensing & Strategy Development: • Identify mkt trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, & competitive landscape• Conduct mkt segmentation exercises & develop mkt segment-specific strategies.• Conduct competitive analysis & benchmarking, leverage competitive knowledge for strategic decision-making• Define segment-create value propositions that outperform competitors.• Develop product roadmaps that align w/ business strategy & market needs• Design a go-to-market strategy, inclusive of channel strategy & partnerships• Work w/ R&D & ops to develop new products to meet current & future customer reqmts & cost targets.• Manage product lifecycle & define a portfolio strategy financial success.

Develop Business Plan• Define resource reqmts needed to execute the product roadmap• Work cross-functionally to define sales, technology, & operations strategies aligned w/ financial goals• Establish & execute the target cost & pricing policy• Build consensus on specific tasks• Partner w/ sales org to jointly define GTM strategies & drive market share growth. • Develop the annual operating plan (Sales & gross or standard margin)• Cultivate close relationships w/ key customers.

Execution - New Product Development & Launch• Be the opportunity champion for new projects• Negotiate & offer key business terms (NRE and product pricing) to customers on-time• Attend customer mtgs to support winning new business• Deliver growth above mkt through strong NPI (New Product Introduction) & share gain execution• Ensure cost-effective designs & optimized investments • Plans product launches, including dev of marketing & sales plans• Provide inputs to Marcom for collateral development of collateral, including e-commerce• Provide demand forecast inputs to the S&OP process• Exercise thought leadership

Execution - Post-Launch Product Mgmt• Manage the P&L (sales & gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolio• Deliver sustained profitable growth• Increase gross margins YoY through effective pricing strategies & operational efficiency• Enable sales to promote the product line via training & collateral development. • Manage special price requests• Track progress to the business plan & address gaps• Champion the resolution of product issues (e.g., quality, delivery)

What your background should look like:

Education/Experience:• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent technical experience• Advanced degree (MBA) exp preferred• 2+ yrs' exp in business, sales, finance, or engineering• Relevant product or industry exp, including knowledge of related products & competitors. • Ability to interface w/ engineering & sales teams to provide cross-reference info & tools for significant growth• Strong business acumen & ability to build relationships in complex matrix environments, w/ a positive attitude & ability to mgr complex indirect teams.• Excellent organizational skills, & commitment to growth/business success.• Exceptional communication & presentation abilities, w/ the capacity to simplify complex concepts.• Result-oriented mindset

COMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $100,320k - $150,480k annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
