Job Description

The Role:

The Infrastructure & Network team aka the Platform Team within the Technology department manages critical infrastructure technology for Telnyx. They're responsible for the design operations and support of a wide range of technologies including data center engineering and operations data management including backup and archive support of large computers storage systems and core server infrastructure and all related technical support.

  • Develop and manage roadmaps that support infrastructure and network growth focusing on self-service capabilities for internal teams.

  • Lead the adoption of key technologies such as Kubernetes Service Mesh Monitoring and Tracing across engineering squads.

  • Coordinate support for enterprise server infrastructure storage compute systems cloud backend services systems monitoring and disaster recovery.

  • Act as a driver for identifying significant opportunities in infrastructure development including expanding into new markets and scaling for enterprise demands.

  • Actively participate in resolving critical outages conducting post-mortems and implementing improvements to prevent future incidents.

  • Set both short- and long-term strategic directions for infrastructure teams with a focus on delivering incremental user-focused solutions.

  • Work closely with developers and engineers to ensure the infrastructure is user-friendly reliable and scalable enabling seamless self-service.

  • Use JIRA extensively for tracking tasks managing workflows and fostering transparent collaboration primarily leveraging Kanban (or agile as needed).

  • Lead and mentor teams implementing infrastructure tools like Terraform Ansible and Kubernetes.

The problems you will be working on are critical to unlock the next phase of growth at Telnyx ranging from unlocking international markets through local infrastructure to powering enterprise-grade experiences.
