Product Manager, Ingestion (All Levels)

As the product manager for the Ingest team in San Francisco, you will envision, design and ship features that make it possible for data engineers and analysts to bring all their data to the lakehouse, at any scale. This is a bold vision, as getting the most value from the lakehouse requires access to all the data, from cloud storage and databases to business applications.

The work you do will help tens of thousands of users build applications that predict machine failure, discover drugs and optimize freight delivery. Bring the simplicity and power of Databricks' groundbreaking lakehouse platform to the world and help companies solve the world's toughest problems with data.

The impact you will have:

• Envision an impactful product roadmap. Your work will drive measurable reductions in complexity and effort required to ingest data into the lakehouse.
• Execute on the roadmap by partnering with engineering. You will be shoulder-to-shoulder with an amazing engineering team, and will closely design the product experience with them.
• Take the product to market and drive its adoption. You will partner with marketing on webinars, write blog posts and meet developers wherever they might be to drive your product's adoption.

What we look for:

• Strong empathy for customers, particularly data engineers
• Prior experience driving developer-centric features is strongly preferred.
• We are looking for product managers who can derive insights from customer conversations and drive a compelling vision. Grit and the ability to propel forward in the face of challenges is a must.
• 5+ years of experience writing SQL and building operational dashboards to measure your business.
• Clear verbal and written communication are very important as you will be front and center communicating with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Understanding of enterprise personas and enterprise sales cycle is required. You must have past experience in the enterprise space, ideally with a SaaS.
