The team

The Institutional Custody Product Group at Kraken is dedicated to the design development implementation and enhancement of Kraken’s institutional platform offerings. This group collaborates closely with product technology and operation teams across the firm to understand the unique needs and challenges of institutional clients in the crypto space. The focus is on crafting a robust scalable and user-friendly platform that caters to the sophisticated requirements of institutional clients.

The opportunity

As a Product Manager for our institutional platform you will play an important role in expanding Kraken’s business. This role focuses on the development of critical aspects of our institutional offering catering to both existing and new market segments.

• Work with multiple teams to define and develop best-in-class institutional platform

• Contribute to group product strategy roadmap and business plan

• Identify and assess opportunities to increase product adoption among institutions

• Drive continuous discovery prioritization and requirement refining sessions

• Evangelize data-driven decision-making and analytics within the organization

• Build product documentation including specifications flows and architecture diagrams

• Collaborate with Design Engineering Legal and others to execute on the roadmap

• Facilitate communication across all project phases - scope timelines and resources

• Ensure proper integration and scalability of shared systems products and tools

Skills you should HODL

• Track record of shipping impactful products

• Strong understanding of cryptocurrencies blockchain technology and digital assets

• Good understanding of institutional finance including how financial institutions operate

• Prior experience in developing and managing institutional financial products is plus

• Experience working for a start-up or a small company ideally in the crypto industry

• A demonstrated ability to make effective product prioritization decisions

• Technical acumen understanding systems architecture and APIs

• Solution oriented highly-motivated self-starter with a keen attention to detail

• Analytical mindset experience with SQL data analysis and data visualization tools

• Deep understanding of project management principles and best practices

• Well-rounded interpersonal skills experience interacting with diverse personalities

• Outstanding organizational and communication skills
