Snap’s Augmented Reality team invents the immersive (and fun!) camera experiences that are at the core of our products. From developing creative new Lens features for Snapchat, to supporting the continuous growth and evolution of Lens Studio (our platform for an ever-increasing community of AR creators), to designing the cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning technology that makes face transformation Lenses possible — our Augmented Reality team is working hard on their mission to bring AR to more people, places, and moments, every day.

Our Perception team builds the technology that enables Snapchat’s camera to intelligently understand the world around us. This team is composed of innovative product thinkers, engineers, and scientists who work together to bring captivating Snapchat experiences to life — all powered by artificial intelligence.

We’re looking for a Product Manager Intern to join our Augmented Reality and Perception product team based in New York City.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner closely with design, legal and engineering to develop, test and launch AR and visual search features, closely monitoring and measuring results, and making necessary adjustments

  • Define business goals, create and manage a feature backlog, and drive specific areas of the AR and visual search roadmaps

  • Research AR and visual search products, and develop strategies, initiatives, and programs that will help us deliver value to Snapchatters, developers, content creators, and strategic partners

  • Collaborate with data science, engineering and user research to analyze usage patterns and trends and identify new feature opportunities

  • Develop and thoroughly present go-forward recommendations, sometimes to senior leadership

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Comfortable with data analysis, A/B testing frameworks and statistics

  • A team player who can collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, Marketers in cross-functional teams, and help maintain alignment towards key goals

  • A self starter who can identify priority tasks based on business objectives and execute independently 

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

  • A seasoned strategist, analyst, and product-minded thinker

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a full time Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Design, HCI, or equivalent graduating no sooner than December 2023.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years experience in a product management position, or a product adjacent role such as product engineering, product marketing, product strategy, design, etc.

  • A passion for Snapchat and creativity!

    Hands on experience with ML, AI, Computer Vision, or related technologies

  • Previous product management experience at a consumer technology or SaaS company

  • Experience performing product-oriented quantitative analysis including statistical analysis

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

  • Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The hourly rate for this position is $45/hr. This position is also eligible for a housing stipend
