Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a Product Manager for the IoT and intelligent edge computing system to collaborate with sales and marketing team to drive and support product marketing inquiries and pre-sales engagement. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge in embedded systems and deep understanding in the market trend, ability to positioned in-house embedded products in the market to sustain long-term growth. This role will focus on designing and promoting the Supermicro Embedded Product, as well as act as the project manager and technical interface between the marketing, Research and Development Engineers, the Sales team and the customers.

This position will be based in the headquarters located in San Jose, CA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):• Take lead and initiate product marketing inquiries, partner closely with sales and marketing to generate powerful marketing content specifically for embedded solutions - including technical presentation and whitepapers to promote IoT solution and enable business opportunities• Collaborate with system engineering team to drive the full product lifecycle, from proof-of-concept to end-of-life• Partner closely with internal teams to resolve customer's inquiry in a timely manner• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and FAE to support pre-sales engagement

Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering or with equivalent practical experiences; Master's degree is a plus• Minimum of 5 years experience in the hardware or solution service provider with focus on server (Intel and AMD), embedded, Storage, GPU, or IPC platforms. As well as virtualization, networking, and data security• Strong understanding of vertical market, ex. Medical, Industrial Automation, transportation, retail, networking, Surveillance, or edge AI application.• Working knowledge of power supply, memory, LAN, hard drives related to embedded system and server system• Demonstrates strong presentation skill. Ability to promote product in front of camera or 300+ audiences.• Hands-on experiences with strong understanding in edge computing, embedded, and IoT solution from product or marketing perspective• Work efficiently under pressure in cross-functional, fast-paced environment• Ability to communicate efficiently in verbal, written, and presentation with the ability to persuade both internal and external clients through various channels

Salary Range

$88,000 - $160,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
