Product Manager, Software Platform & Application - Remote
Omnicell is working on exciting and innovative solutions to pharmacies safe and economical for health care providers. The Product Manager role leads ideation and execution for automation and workflow products and services that are part of the Central Pharmacy (CP) and IV Compounding portfolio at Omnicell.
In this role you will
- Lead planning, and execution for critical product areas of Omnicell's CP and IV solutions.
- Collaborate with your product peers towards strategy and product plan for entire portfolio spanning creation of new product solutions, maintenance of existing line of products and retirement of aging solutions.
- Develop relationships with Omnicell customers and prospects, learning from them about their pressures and problems, and helping them understand what to expect from our continually-evolving set of solutions.
- Support innovative subscription offeringsacross our IV portfolio by working collaboratively to define and develop value-driven subscription-based offerings comprised of software, customer success services, hardware, and the next generation of our tech-enabled cloud-based services.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, UX, QA, marketing, sales, support, implementation, and other stakeholders and deliver on a shared vision of success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine prioritized product needs based on insights from market research, competitive analysis, customer engagement, business needs and collaboration with subject matter experts
- Collaborate with your product peers to prioritize problems to solve, make trade-off decisions, and ultimately translate your priorities into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Own the successful delivery of your roadmap and co-own the success of the overall products
- Effectively identify and manage cross-team dependencies
- Build effective relationships that matter with engineering, design, QA and a variety of cross-functional stakeholders
- Develop communications material, value props and high-level strategic justification to help explain the why of your product both internally and externally
- Develop relationships with customers and prospects, gather and understand customer feedback on existing products and products in development and conduct effective interviews to better understand the context, pressures, complete understanding of the problems they need to solve to deliver the right solution
- Communicate the vision of the product, value proposition and release goals to the cross-functional team as part of the release planning process
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Understands the industry, market, and product/service trends affecting the organization's competitiveness
- Keeps abreast of business, industry and market information that may reveal business opportunities
- Works cooperatively with others to produce innovative solutions communicating effectively across different organization levels
- Expert on feature, product
- Use common tools to create, mockups, stories, and roadmaps
- Finds way to measure and track customer satisfaction effectively throughout the product development
- Recognizes the business concerns and perspectives of others
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years Product Management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Has experience building software application in hardware/device eco-system
- Has experience with connected devices (Ex. robotics, healthcare, medical devices)
Work Conditions
- This position is 100% remote enabled from any US location. Candidates located in EST preferred.
- This position requires ~20% US based travel
