Job Description
The Global Small Business team at Visa is responsible for overseeing and driving Visa’s small business strategy, leading small business thought leadership, managing the segment P&L, and most importantly, developing and executing on the global sales pipeline. The team is meant to work cross-functionally and be multidisciplinary in skillset.

The newly created Market Intelligence and Analytics team will support future growth by identifying required market insights, leading research efforts and delivering valuable inputs to the regions and other organizational stakeholders. It will work cross-functionally across business lines to deliver SMB segment solutions and serve as Visa center of excellence for small business thought leadership producing relevant material in support of advocacy efforts.
As part of these efforts, the candidate will be instrumental in driving research efforts, analyzing data points and presenting these outputs back to the internal stakeholders to support the delivery of enhanced proposition and accelerated sales activities.
The role will work extensively with extended VCS Global and Regional teams, government Solutions, Strategy, Research and Insights teams, MS&A, Marketing.
Essential Functions
You will be supporting the delivery of Visa's overall intelligence, presence, and impact for small business and support delivery against global sponsorship efforts (e.g. National Small Business Week, Back to Business, She’s Next Empowered by Visa).
You will be responsible for the development of Visa’s Small Business Vertical approach
You will be building recommendations for informing product and strategic roadmaps with your findings working closing with the VCS Global Product and Platform teams to improve product design, development, and delivery.
You will be the center of excellence for regional and global intelligence and analytics efforts
You will develop and maintain a working knowledge of Visa products and services.
Support the delivery and review of Go-to-market materials
You will be asked to lead various ad-hoc internal projects and support executive leadership with industry conferences, public settings, and formal speaking engagements to drive advocacy.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD with a proven track record in data analysis and go-to-market (marketing) ideally in the payment field.
• Ability to coordinate strategic initiatives, excellent planning and organizational skills
• Adept problem solver and proficiency in analyzing and synthesizing data into meaningful and digestible data points
• Collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional areas to influence and achieve consensus on goals and objectives
• Have a global and inclusive mindset and experience
• Ability to identify problem spaces through qualitative and quantitative research efforts (e.g ethnographic research, IDIs, surveys. NPs) to inform product, sales, and strategy teams.
• Experience in segmentation analysis, human centered design, and market research of B2B trends of identified personas and verticals (e.g. healthcare, agriculture, fleet) and spend types (e.g.cross-border).
• Proven experience working with marketing and communications teams for content creation and support of conferences, public, and formal speaking engagements.
• Must be proficient in all MS Office applications with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience in Product innovation preferred (design thinking, fintechs)
• We are looking for excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, presentation skills, and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across technical teams and business teams is important
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 105,800.00 to 191,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
