Job Description

Nasdaq's Sell-Side Market Technology Product Team is looking to recruit a strategic Product Manager to contribute to the growth of Nasdaq's Trade Execution Platform. They will be focusing on the platform's managed dark pool and single dealer platform.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Lead Product Owner. They should be familiar with working in a cross functional, highly collaborative and dynamic environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Sales, Client Success, Operations and Development teams to balance the strategic roadmap and tactical requirements, and to develop product requirements and specifications
  • Identify new market opportunities (i.e., products/services, technologies, markets).
  • Act as a funnel for product development ideas and progress these ideas to realize commercial opportunities.
  • Participate in or lead the analytical, experimental, investigative, and testing efforts in support of new product development engineering.
  • Perform analyses and prepare forecasts and recommendations in the areas of product preferences, sales coverage, market penetration, market practices and sales trends.
  • Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to functional leaders.
  • Ensure that issues have full closure and takes responsibility to work cross functionally until that closure is obtained. Through the root cause analysis, ensures process/procedure changes occur to prevent a repeat of the issue.
  • Under limited supervision, provide input into project schedule, risks, scope of work and budget. Participate and contribute in Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Ensure that operational teams and subcontractors have a clear understanding of product requirements.
  • Maintain the feature backlog
  • Drive the Agile Quarterly Planning Process
  • Elicit detailed business and system requirements from business owners and stakeholders.
  • Write and produce detailed functional specifications for related teams.
  • Write operational and user documentation including release notes. Ensures operational and user documentation is accurate and complete.

  • Education Required: Degree qualified in Computer Science, Business/Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Is working towards or has graduated with a post graduate degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience Required: 8+ years
  • Nice to have: Prior experience within SaaS or PaaS products within financial markets
