The team

Kraken’s Payments Team is responsible for supercharging our clients’ money with easy fast and secure borderless payments. Whether pesos at a neighborhood coffee shop or yen cross-border back to a family member we envision a world where clients can spend their money freely however they want. The Pay team ensures our platform has the correct range of tools with the correct abstraction necessary to enable anyone to realize this vision.

The opportunity

• Develop and execute payments strategy: Play a crucial role in shaping the strategy for payments at Kraken a complex product area impacting the entirety of the business and millions of users.

• Stay at the forefront of crypto innovations: Be hyper-aware of the latest trends cutting-edge developments and major happenings in the cryptocurrency sphere leveraging this knowledge to keep our roadmaps competitive and relevant.

• Lead cross-functional collaboration: Work hand-in-hand seamlessly with all teams across the organization to continuously deliver thoughtfully integrated outputs.

• Engage with external teams: Build and maintain relationships with external project teams evaluating their tokens offering and roadmap all in efforts to improve Kraken’s product offering.

• Shape the future of onchain payments: By joining our team you will not only contribute to our current success but also have a hand in shaping the future landscape of the movement of money.

Skills you should HODL

• Minimum 5+ years of product management experience ideally within payments and/or crypto.

• Demonstrated ability in developing and executing product strategy for consumer products from both 0 → 1 as well as at 1M+ scale.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the overall crypto ecosystem technological narratives composability stablecoins etc.

• Understanding of payments remittance and other related sub-verticals across both web and mobile surface areas.

• Proactive mindset always looking for innovative yet simple solutions to complex problems.

• Experience in data gathering quantitative analysis and the ability to translate these into actionable strategies.

• Strong interpersonal skills with experience in interacting and collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Strong organizational abilities with the skill to juggle multiple priorities effectively.

• Deep understanding of project management principles and best practices.

• Passionate about the Crypto space
