What Product or Solutions Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health

Marketing assesses customer needs, market conditions, and competition to inform business strategy. This function provides analytics to support the business strategy of developing and commercializing services and managing them throughout their full life cycles to meet and exceed revenue and profitability objectives.

Product & Solutions Marketing identifies customer needs and conducts research to inform marketing strategies and offerings. This function supports the teams to drive customer loyalty, sales growth, and improved profitability.

Accountabilities

• Analyzes PBM contracts, creates financial modeling, and provides recommendations for the CAH Managed Care organization.
• Analyzes data provided by PBMs to ensure current and year end contractual obligations are achieved.
• Work with IT partners to develop data models and workflows for pharmacy claims data, payer remittance (835) data, and department operations data that support analytics objectives.
• Monitor and maintain the accuracy and quality of all data.
• Design, develop, and implement pharmacy solutions and Marketing operations performance metrics and analytics that provide critical information, insights, and decision support to Managed Care, Marketing, and Sales leadership.
• Design, develop, and implement pharmacy profitability, payment, and adjustment trend analysis and reporting.
• Work and communicate effectively with IT partners, management, customers, and other members of the Analytics team to gather and interpret requirements, lead the design and development of reporting and analytics solutions, and set priorities.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and content documentation.
• Assist in the guidance and technical skills development of lesser experienced analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Marketing, or other related field, preferred
• Strong business and financial acumen
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience with querying, manipulating, and aggregating data from business systems to produce meaningful reporting and decision support information.
• Understanding of relational databases, MS-SQL knowledge and experience.
• Basic understanding of operations and claims processing in pharmacy or other healthcare related area is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience using data query, visualization, dashboard design tools, or data workflow tools (ex. SSMS/SSRS, Tableau, Business Objects, Alteryx, etc.).
• Knowledge and understanding of 835 electronic remittance files is a plus.
