Job Description
As a Product Manager on the Seasons team at Bungie you will develop product strategy and help build content for Destiny 2’s Seasons. You will manage the health of the game’s live service, and partner with publishing and development teams to deliver content that delights our players and achieves business goals.
In this role you will be embedded in the Destiny 2 Seasons development team reporting to the Principal Product Manager for Seasons. You will partner closely with Analytics and Consumer Insights to understand how our players engage with Seasonal content, and with our Marketing and Publishing teams to ensure our new feature launches excite and engage our players.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively manage the health of Destiny 2 Seasons and our Live Service
- Monitor and regularly report on game and seasonal health
- Identify and escalate critical live service issues to partner teams
- Lead planning to anticipate and mitigate Seasonal launch and live service risks
- Create and manage KPIs for Destiny 2 Seasons initiatives
- Create, measure, and broadcast KPIs that track the success of Seasonal goals, and hold the Seasons team accountable to meet those KPIs
- Partner with Analytics to prioritize reporting and tools to measure KPIs
- Collaborate on Seasonal content development
- Partner with Development teams to translate Seasonal goals into feature specifications
- Prioritize features with the Seasons team to ensure that new features maximize business impact and player delight
- Document seasonal hypotheses and collaborate with analytics to measure success, analyze post-launch results, and form insights that guide future Seasons content
- Support the launch of seasonal content in partnership with publishing partner teams
- Create documents that reflect key features of upcoming Seasons for Marketing and Publishing partner teams
- Provide expert guidance to marketing, community, and player support on feature details of upcoming Seasonal content
- Manage in-game communications and upsells to players, providing input into their design to clearly communicate value to player
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities. Ability to take broader company/franchise goals and distil them into innovative initiatives.
- Adept at understanding and using data to inform strategic and business decisions. Good understanding of statistics, hypothesis testing, and the scientific method.
- Experience product managing live games, web/social/mobile experiences, and customer-centric software and services.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills. Experience leading cross-team initiatives across marketing, creative, design, and studio leadership, and demonstrated results achieved by leading through influence.
- Deep passion for games and ability to analyze and break down the components of what makes a successful live game.
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Deep familiarity with Destiny and its online player communities is highly desired, as is experience with games as a service and MMOs.
Most Bungie full-time employees will adopt a digital first approach allowing remote work in Bungie approved locations (outside of positions identified as 100% onsite in Bellevue/Seattle, or individuals preferring a hybrid/flex environment). Prospective full-time employees located outside of CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI will need to establish residency in one of the states we are compliant in within 45 days of a start date. Contractors will follow a digital first approach adhering to the location guidelines agreed upon by our third-party employer/vendor and Bungie.
