Our product managers partner with engineering, design, curriculum, marketing, and implementation teams to align our vision and execute against the roadmap. An ideal candidate is passionate about creating the best possible experience for teachers, students, and administrators and is excited to lead cross-functional agile teams.
Responsibilities of the Product Manager:
  • Be an agile team leader.
    • Communicate product vision and goals to your team regularly to motivate and empower them to tackle work they think is best based on the prioritized backlog.
    • Serve as a key member and collaborative leader of your cross-functional agile team to plan, develop, design, test, and deliver working software and content.
    • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, scrum, etc.) and accept completed work.
    • Prioritize your backlog, breakdown features into user stories, and elaborate on those stories for your agile team.
  • Communicate across the organization.
    • Proactively communicate with partners and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of product vision and execution.
    • Track progress toward successful delivery. Raise issues, risks, and dependencies, and work collaboratively to resolve them.
    • Deeply understand your product's features, content, user experience, and relationship to the broader product ecosystem, so you can effectively communicate about your component with a broad range of team members.
    • Develop and track OKRs aligned to the business and platform's key priorities and goals.
    • Draft release notes, announcements, and training materials to support the launch of new features and products.
  • Develop exceptional products.
    • Empathize with our customers' and users' needs and be a passionate advocate for their perspectives through all phases of product development.
    • Conduct user research, identify problems, and validate improvements.
    • Research the competitive product landscape and education market.
    • Synthesize data, observations, and other research into insights to help inform product strategy.

  • Basic Qualifications of the Product Manager:
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    • 3+ year of experience in a product management / project management role
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
    • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
    • Strong project management skills

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with relevant software and content development life cycle, from concept to delivery, using Agile practices
    • Background in technology, design, user experience, or curriculum development
    • Strong understanding of techniques for effective data use in organizations, especially in educational systems
