The role will report into Duo's VP of Product Management, the Strategy & Product Ops Manager will serve as partner to the VP, responsible for managing business strategy, planning, operational monitoring, intra-org engagement efforts, and driving effective and efficient growth for the Duo Business. Additionally, this person will provide high‐level support and serve as a strategic advisor, resource, and critical link between the Product VP, rest of multi-functional Duo Leadership Team, and Cisco's ecosystem. This work involves liaising with the broader Cisco strategy network and executive leadership team to ensure our strategies and operation are optimally aligned with the rest of the company. The role is a people management role, you will be responsible for and be supported by a team and a budget..
What You'll Do
You are a dynamic leader and proven experience managing a range of activities, from highly strategic to tactical execution, and will play a key role in helping the organization focus on and achieve its most important strategic goals in coming years. Operationally, the ideal candidate will use sophisticated business and process analysis and improvement methods to help define, drive and measure Duo's business strategy. This highly visible position requires a track record of leading change across complex matrixed environments, conducting business and market analyses, building a vision for change, generating agreement, and driving business transformation.
This role requires outstanding oral and written communication skills and an ability to connect with others across the enterprise to develop effective solution solutions. The individual in this role needs to be extraordinarily organized and disciplined in managing multiple, concurrent, and overlapping timelines, and shifting deadlines and priorities dependent on others.
You are able to think strategically, evaluate the downstream consequences of decisions, and also drive a strong agenda of accountability, execution and delivery across peers and the broader organization. This requires someone who is equally capable of rolling up their sleeves to dive into the detail, delegating and empowering leaders and teams. Responsibilities
  • Strategy: Facilitate and own work you're doing around Duo and Zero Trust Business strategy and business management in partnership with the Leadership Team to innovate, align, and complete the vision. Analyze the business to assist in leading to data driven decisions
  • Business operations monitoring and reporting: Collaborate with the multi-functional Business Leadership Team to drive accountability and monitor the status of committed plans. Review, track, and report on our investments including preparing scenarios and/or recommendations. Manage interface to BU operations for budgeting.
  • Culture and Processes: Own and drive team rituals (planning, roadmap, key meetings, summits, etc). Own yearly planning process with the team and with interface into the Security Business Group. Own OKR process and reporting. Support and enable the leadership with planning and analysis efforts on an ongoing basis. Drive process improvement and process simplification wherever possible.
  • Communications: Drive PM communications within and across the business. Understand and manage internal and external partners communications needs from PM.
  • Tooling: Own and manage tooling and services needed by the Product Management team.

  • You are an organizational specialist, able to detect, solve, influence, and break down barriers within a matrix organization. You build strong trust relationships, not just within the team, but with a broad range of collaborators
  • You have exceptional communication skills that are transparent, appropriately challenging, and conducive to an environment where issues are identified and resolved
  • You put your team first, and know how to attract, motivate, and retain top talent Education & Experience
  • BS/BA required, MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • With an MBA, candidate may have 5+ years of experience in management, leadership, and/or strategic planning; preferably with experience in a Fortune 500 company. 10+ without MBA.
  • You are experienced in security and identity markets, products, services, strategy, planning and decision-making processes.
  • You have a strong grasp of SAAS business model
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex projects across teams or organizations.
  • Consistent track record to build relationships at all levels within an organization, including at the EVP / SVP level.
  • Background in management consulting a plus.
