Description:

The Product Marketing Director will lead a small global team of Regional Product Manager whilst personally handling the North American region. This team gathers the voice of customers, competitive analysis and informs the business of future innovations. Evangelizes new InVue products to customers, direct sales team, and business partners through delivering effective selling tools and training. You will work closely with the InVue product and sales teams to grow the business through gaining new customers and expanding within existing customers through new product offerings. The Director must be creative and self-driven. The position is a key role based in Charlotte, NC at the InVue global headquarters and reports to the VP of Product.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small global field marketing team whose main objective is to drive revenue growth through ensuring the success of new product launches.
  • Lead by example - show your team the way by having direct ownership of the US and Canada market and being close to our customers and sales team. This leader must be out with team members and customers frequently.
  • The Regional Product Marketing Managers, and by extension their director, are accountable for four specific focus areas to drive growth:
  1. New product pre-launch activity: Meet or exceed customer field trial and early adopter goals to ensure new products have customer advocates and testimonials to help generate an immediate revenue stream upon launch.
  2. New product post-launch activity (within first six months of launch): Execute on expanding early adopter customers and converting them to revenue.
  3. New product post-launch activity (6-12 months after launch): Focus on converting capability and expertise of new products to the InVue sales force. Training and knowledge transfer so the sales team does not need RPM support to promote new products beyond 1 year of launch.
  4. New product ideas: Bring new product ideas to the Product management, sales, and development teams to solve customer pain points. RPM's should be market experts and proficient in translating VOC into actionable insights. All concepts must consider the market and competitive environment.
  5. Training: Facilitate training for new products, the overall InVue story, and how to effectively sell versus the competition.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ combined years' experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales, and Training
  • Ability to interpret customer requests/pain points and translate into actionable insights. Deliver these insights to: 1) Product Development, so they can create the best in class products 2) Sales, so they effectively communicate InVue's unique value
  • A passion and curiosity to solve problems through creating new, innovative offerings for customers
  • Deep expertise in the global retail channel required. Experience dealing with loss prevention, merchandising and IT functions within large retail preferred
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • A manager who knows how to inspire his/her team, customers, and partners, but also a manager who will hold the team accountable for deliverables
  • Experience with multiple product launches is required
  • Previous management experience of a remote international team
  • Experience with IOT connected solutions a plus
  • 4-year degree required; MBA preferred
  • Highly competitive and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel up to 75%
