About the job
We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to partner with our Product team to lead go-to-market for our products, create and execute marketing campaigns that drive product growth, and ultimately generate customer insights that inform Beacon’s product strategy. You will form a deep understanding of our customers through user research, which you’ll leverage to inform our product roadmap and drive our go-to-market strategy alongside sales and marketing partners.
Skills
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and you can adapt the stories you tell to engage everyone from experienced technologists to outcome-oriented executives. You can explain technical and business concepts fluently to a highly technical audience
- Knowledgeable about the capital markets space through direct experience. You have an understanding of the network of partners and stakeholders in the space, and are excited about telling the story of how Beacon’s platform is differentiated within it
- A fast study of new technologies and have a strong understanding of how things work under the hood. You’re able to understand and influence technical decisions—product managers have relied on your expertise to help shape their roadmaps
- You have deep empathy for users and seek to understand their needs and translate those into opportunities for Beacon to better serve them
- You like working with data and insights and pair that with your passion for users to generate balanced and thoughtful points of view for how to take our products to market
- You are able to manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various work streams on track
- You are eager to make an impact. You thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic, environment and are able to operate fluidly between the strategic level and the micro-detail to get things right
- You are able to work with a range of disciplines to execute on your work
Responsibilities
- Drive product marketing end-to-end, from informing product strategy and building the go-to-market strategy, to supporting product launches and driving product adoption for highly technical products targeted at a technical audience
- Develop product positioning and messaging informed by user research, competitive research, market insights, and a deep understanding of how our products work
- Understand the key components of our products to both help shape what needs to be built and to communicate with customers about what exists
- Help enable user-facing teams—from Sales to Client Engineering and Customer Success
- Work with the Finance, Strategy and Product teams to set pricing that aligns to the product value proposition and with our users’ success
- Advocate for our existing and prospective users, be informed about our competitive landscape, and become the go-to expert for your audience to help shape the product roadmap and strategy.
- Partner with the Product team and Marketing team to track the right metrics and execute marketing campaigns that drive product awareness and adoption
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant work experience across marketing, product marketing, product management, sales engineering, or operational roles
- Experience in B2B marketing and working closely with product development and sales teams
- Experience marketing highly technical products
- Optional: Prior experience in a software development or engineering role
