Skimmer is on a mission: to modernize the pool and spa service and repair industry. We’re a private equity-backed company with 5000+ customers using Skimmer’s pool service software and running their businesses the modern way. But we’re not stopping there (there are over 70,000 pool service companies in this surprisingly large “niche” space).
In the three years since investment we’ve grown from $1M ARR to $5M+. Our goal remains to increase ARR by 100% year over year.

Who are you?
Reporting into the VP, Marketing, you are a data-driven product marketer ready to lead the charge in our go-to-market strategy, including informing the product roadmap, leading our NPI process, developing our monetization strategy, and crafting our positioning and messaging. You will develop a deep understanding of the market we serve, and what our customers need to be successful in their own businesses.
Because of this knowledge, you will serve as the “connective tissue” between the market, the product, and the Skimmer team.
- Know the market - You will develop a rich understanding of the Pool Service space, particularly pool professionals. As the tip of the spear, you will understand market trends and dynamics, and take those insights back to the rest of the GTM team to inform short and long term strategy.
- Know the product - You will have a deep understanding of the Skimmer product, as well as competitor products so that you can guide marketing, sales, and CS on how to speak to it in a way that pool professionals will understand. You will also be the primary business partner for the product team. Simply put, you will be joined at the hip with the product management team.
- Shape the GTM strategy - As both a market and product expert, you will be uniquely positioned to help the leadership team shape our GTM strategy, inclusive of pricing, packaging and commercialization.
- Architect the position - Using all of the inputs at your disposal, you will architect the Skimmer positioning, working closely with brand and content marketing to create messaging that resonates with pool professionals and builds trust right from the start.
- Be the glue - Simply put, you will be the glue that binds product, sales and marketing together. Being the voice of the customer, you will ensure we get it right FOR THEM.

Requirements
- 3-5+ years of Product Marketing experience, ideally with at least 2 years of vertical SaaS experience (service industry and payment solutions preferred)
- Proven experience in building and executing commercialization strategies, inclusive of ICP definition, GTM strategy, pricing and packaging and NPI process
- Superior ability to hunt out key insights from a variety of different sources and translate those insights into meaningful action
- You are a data-driven storyteller: Written, verbal and visual
- You love to bring cross-functional teams together to create the best possible experience for the customer
- You are a strategic thinker and can influence others with kindness
- Experience with tools such as HubSpot
