Job Description

Vicarious Surgical is hiring a Product Marketing Manager to join our team in Waltham, MA.  This role will be responsible for leading a wide range of marketing activities for Vicarious Surgical, centered around leading the  development of a comprehensive go-to-market strategy. This role will interact closely with other functions to include Health Economics/Market Access, Commercial, R&D, Operations, Regulatory, Quality, and third-party agencies. This role will also be responsible for formulating and executing stakeholder advisory meetings with key clinical and commercial partners. This requires weekly on-site presence.


Vicarious Surgical is a next generation robotics company developing a disruptive technology with the goal of increasing the efficiency of surgical procedures, improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs. Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of a best in class go-to-market strategy including a product launch plan
  • Contribute to the development and execution of a customer engagement strategy including conferences and medical advisory board meetings
  • Develop prospective customer engagement strategy
  • Develop Vicarious Surgical brand strategy in partnership with key stakeholders and vendors
  • Become a subject matter expert of customer needs, market dynamics, and technology trends in the surgical robotics space
  • Partner with external vendors to do quantitative and qualitative market research 
  • Develop a plan to communicate product value to market
  • Contribute to the development of the product launch strategy
  • Provide strong leadership and credible influence to drive alignment across the organization to ensure appropriate resource allocation and focus to meet business expectations
  • Develop consistent approaches to project proposals, market models, metrics (ROIs, NPVs) and market assumptions to enable strategic discussions and informed decisions
  • Support stakeholder engagements to include industry educational meetings and events, on-site meetings, and labs

About You

  • A university degree and a minimum of 5 years (or an advanced degree and a  minimum of 3 years) of experience in product marketing, sales, strategy, or product management in the medical device industry
  • Experience commercializing medical devices globally
  • Recognized as a self-starter, results driven, and competent managing multiple priorities
  • Able to analyze market insights gathered through primary/secondary research and translating these into effective global product strategies
  • Able to influence and motivate cross-functional peers and stakeholders to drive effective and efficient alignment in marketing priorities
  • Strong analytical skills, as well as written and oral communication skills
