Job Description

The “Product Marketing Manager” will help drive understanding and awareness of our product offerings by managing customer insights, competitive analysis, product positioning, naming, objectives, and metrics, to overall GTM strategy. In this cross-functional role, you will collaborate closely with the entire go-to-market team, including product, sales, and marketing. You’ll translate your deep understanding of the MyCarrier platform users into new ways to engage our audience, and campaigns that deepen customers’ connection with MyCarrier.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Use insights and data to create user narratives and programs that improve the customer experience leading to increased user growth, product awareness, and adoption. 
  • Conduct market research to create customer profiles, personas, and use cases  
  • Interview customers and conduct surveys to understand pain points and process gaps 
  • Use customer insights and other data to develop the value proposition for new products and reframe the value proposition for existing products to increase adoption. 
  • Develop and execute the Go-to-Market Plan for new product releases as well as campaigns for increasing engagement with existing products 
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and executive leadership to ensure that the proposed Go-to-Market plan is aligned with company goals and vision 
  • Conduct competitive analysis to assist the Go-to-Market team make an informed decision regarding pricing and other qualities of the product 
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage customer and product research to develop messaging and programs that drive user growth  
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with product managers and sales  
  • Demonstrated ability to launch products and programs globally and locally  
  • Ability to be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, at ease and calm with frequent pivots in priorities  
  • Strong quantitative analytics skills to support data-informed decision making 
  • Understanding of the transportation and logistics industry and its changing landscape  

 

Education and Experience:  

  • BA/BS degree with MBA or equivalent with marketing emphasis  
  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B product marketing  
  • Experience working with product management, marketing and sales organizations  
  • Experience in demand generation strategies  
  • Experience working with creatives and media, both in house and agency, to create and measure world-class campaigns 
  • Strong B2B product marketing background. SMB experienced desirable.  
  • Strong quantitative analytical ability and excellent written and oral communication skills, including executive presentations  
  • A strong track record of developing and maintaining highly collaborative cross-functional relationships and a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
