Overview:
The LivePerson Product Marketing team is looking for a Market & Competitive Intel Product Marketing Manager to drive the go-to-market strategy and execution in response to market forces or key competitors within our industry. There are more than 2,000 players in the Conversational AI and Conservational Customer Service space - we need someone who can help sort through the noise and empower internal stakeholders with the most relevant information.
The best person for this role has a proven track record of driving successful business outcomes through engaging competitive content, effective sales enablement, and efficient vendor management. This includes product storytelling and positioning, messaging and sales readiness, and market-intel informed GTM planning. We're looking for someone who can pull multiple data sources together to tell a compelling and cohesive story, enable sales to drive exponential growth, and activate cross-functional teams to execute.
The right addition to the team will also have 5-7 years of marketing experience in tech and 2-3 years experience with compete or market intel specific marketing, experience in Conversational AI or SaaS compete is a plus. This role develops product and market strategies that position the company to achieve long term growth, while strategically contributing to the company annual revenue goals.
This is the ideal role for a technically-inclined, collaborative product marketer who wants to join a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS company and drive significant market impact. This role is part of the broader product marketing team and will work closely with technical product marketing, customer marketing, and analyst relations team members. You will:- Be customer-focused, strategic, detailed, and highly creative driving with the following primary responsibilities
- Be responsible for defining strategic marketing direction, and driving execution to achieve long-term business goals. You will be expected to know your customers and subject matter so intimately that you define and communicate a clear, differentiated and defensible position of LivePerson in the market
Your responsibilities will include:
- Create the GTM strategy for top LivePerson competitors in collaboration with product, sales, customer success, demand gen, field marketing and sales enablement
- Develop global strategic marketing plans that cement industry authority, build awareness, drive predictable pipeline growth, and enable sales to win
- Provide leadership for compete and market intel objectives, strategy, and content for targeted audiences across marketing campaigns and events
- Inform a content strategy to:
- Support demand gen and/or ABM campaigns by addressing customers needs and pain points throughout the buying journey
- Position LivePerson as the industry thought leader in the mentioned industry(ies)
- Monitor business metrics in regard to revenue, pipeline, win rate, conversion rate at each stage of the sales funnel, pipeline velocity and adoption of features. Communicate these metrics to the rest of the organization as the industry leader along with appropriate optimization and action plan recommendations
- Collaborate with technical product marketing, sales and customer success to influence product and technology roadmap that will drive the long-term growth of the industry
- Launch industry products, solutions, and integrations as prioritized in the GTM strategy and product roadmap
- Prioritize GTM efforts based on competitors' strengths and weaknesses
- Establish effective relationships across the marketing organization, product, sales, customer success, sales enablement and revops
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required
- A collaborative style to lead through influence, building consensus across global cross-functional teams
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing at mid to enterprise level software companies
- 2+ years of experience in competitive or market intelligence marketing is a bonus
- Critical thinker with strong writing, presentation development, and delivery skills
- Experience in the AI, commerce, or customer experience SaaS space is a plus
