As the Product Marketing Specialist, you thrive on being a market, customer, and product expert — so you can communicate the value of your company's offerings with confidence as you create content and deploy campaigns. This role serves as the subject matter expert within the marketing team on their assigned Roadie products, understands the highest-impact and most marketable features of our products and builds campaigns to drive awareness, adoption and success of our products.Â
In this role, you will lead initiatives like developing marketing and sales materials, supporting marketing promotional efforts, writing messaging & positioning, and conducting market and competitive research. Our ideal candidate loves product marketing because they love connecting solutions to customer pain points and being the voice of the customer for the business. This person will have exceptional communication skills, a proven track record building partnerships across interdisciplinary teams and a “get stuff done” attitude.
- Conduct market research on competitors, their products, etc, and bring this information to product marketing managers to help shape various campaigns and communications
- Create marketing project plans, materials, and communications for current and new products
- Work with the Senior Manager to develop digital marketing and sales enablement assets that result in increased web traffic, engagement, conversions and new business
- Partner with inbound marketing and media specialists as the point person for product related social media posts, ads, email marketing, web content, and more
- Develop and launch content aimed at increasing adoption of our products at the customer and end-user level
- Distill and share key learnings in order to improve our messaging, product roadmap, competitive positioning, and go-to-market strategy
- Able to manage multiple projects and be responsible for deadlines and deliverables. Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project fluid environment
- Able to collaborate with and influence internal teams, and synthesize product information, broader industry trends, competitive positioning, and other considerations
- Additional responsibilities include: developing collateral (slides, datasheets, product overviews, articles, blogs)
What skills will you bring?Â
- 1-3 years product marketing experience that includes messaging, positioning, sales enablement, and leveraging research to inform content; experience with product launches a plus
- Proven track record collaborating and driving results across interdisciplinary teams (sales, marketing, product, etc.)
- Curious learner – about our market, new verticals, and our customers
- Ability to successfully message our unique differentiation and value proposition in a manner that helps grow revenue
- Strong storyteller mindset, presenter, and verbal communicator
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects across interdisciplinary teams
- Results-oriented team player with a collaborative and “can do” attitude
- Comfortable working in an environment where change is expected
