Job Description
The Business Development Manager will play a critical role, as the Vacuum Systems Product Management team evolves to meet the growing market for our products and services. Responsibilities will include both strategic and tactical elements, including forecasting, strategic market analysis including competitive and market segment dynamics, establishing and maintaining an organized portfolio of products and components in Brooks' Oracle ERP system, and assisting with quoting new projects.
What You'll Do:
This individual will work closely with many functional groups to gather information or to communicate plans and progress. Will support the business with a focus on Quality, Delivery, Customer Satisfaction, responsiveness and productivity and will support product managers to clarify product attributes as well as developing business case justification for new products. When needed, will engage directly with customers to ensure follow-through in our commitments to customers.
Collaborate with Marketing Communications to create product materials supporting new product introductions and lifecycle management of existing products. Will serve as the internal focal point, across multiple product lines within a business ensuring responsive execution of pricing implementation, configuration, part number management, forecast roll up and knowledge driven business reporting.
Works cross-functionally with product managers, engineering, operations, service and sales to ensure proper commercial transaction management is in place for existing and new platforms.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office products (Excel & PowerPoint).
- Strong Excel skills to perform analyses, as well as PowerPoint to communicate and present data
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A general understanding of business profit & loss responsibility is preferred.
- Strong understanding of order fulfillment processes and policy
- Working knowledge of Oracle and reporting tools a plus
The ideal candidate would have experience to identify process efficiency opportunities, with a proven track record of being able to drive process improvement.
